• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1.5 volt Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries

for the gloryders..it seems that the new remote glo's stay hot all the time thus wearing down the batteries so to get the brightest alumination you need these type of battteries therefore eliminating the need to buy fresh batteries.just recharge them and your off showing your lights off again no need to empty the pocket book for more batts.when there are more important things to buy

I am not a battery expert but I don't believe you can get rechargeable 1.5 volt Li-Ion batteries. The AA and AAA Li-Ion batteries run around 3.7V and they may destroy your gloryders. I use NiMH batteries in my pocket camera and have had good luck with them. Just stay away from NiCad batteries as they will develop a memory which causes reduced capacity.

Nothing wrong with using AA Lithiums, there's lots of us that have been using them with no issues other than longer battery life. A regular new alkaline runs 1.57V when tested. The Lithium comes in at 1.7. Less than a half volt diff total. Nothing in the circuitry that will be bothered by that nor will the LEDs. One other thing worth bringing up, LED brightness is VERY sensitive to voltage. I have 12V LEDs in my camper. There's a 1 volt diff between my running on battery vs when camper plugged in. Light output is cut in half by that 1 volt drop.
