• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 Owner Opinion

Ahh. . . I see your problem. It is NOT a trunk, it is a glove compartment. Still, that is about 60 times more storage space than other motorcycles have. It is a shock for people who have owned any of the previous models of Spyders. But, if you are like me and love the F3, you will hardly...

    F3 Owner Opinion

Excellent Summary Gary, the only other Cons I would consider:Windshield/wind protection Ease of mounting & dis-mount I personally don't have a problem with any of these, but other Spyder riders and new-to-Spyders-riders may have.

    Painting some trim pieces

Look at this If you look at the F3 section of Can Am's Parts section, you can see exploded diagrams of the F3 and get an idea of what is holding the parts on. Here is the link to the parts section...

    we're going to be a 2 F3 family!

    So, I guess . . . . . . . . now there will be a little tug-of-war over accessories. Congratulations to both of you. Tom

    Newbie, potential F3S owner.

Hmmm . . . . . . . . I don't think ( guess ) that you can do that with a SE or a SM. I wouldn't think it would work if there was a dead battery - too many other things are dependent upon power in order for the engine to crank. I am not sure what other conditions could exist where the bike has...

    F3S Surging when downshifting

Seems to be typical. When new, my F3 would 'surge' a little when I let it downshift by itself coming to a stop. It still does, but I don't think anywhere near what it used to - or maybe I am getting used to it. So, I would say, what you are feeling is typical and 'natural' for the F3. Tom

    Performance mods or scrap F3-S?

I agree . . . . . . . . . . if you are surprised by the state of your F3's performance, you didn't evaluate the bike or understand what you were getting into. Sell it! Really, you will NEVER be happy with it. As an alternative, you could get a slower car. But I think you will always hear that...

    F3 seat removal

Yes . . . . . . . . it is in the manual. The passenger's seat is released from/by the ignition switch- then you will see the two bolts securing the drivers portion. Tom

    F3 - Switch Bezel L/R open slots

That looks GOOD . . . . . . . . . . I think I will put that on my To Do list. Thanks for posting this mod. Tom

    F3S in South Germany

Welcome. . . . . . . so, was the wait worth it? And, what is that 'sticker/decal' that is about where your right knee would be? Tom

Using 6th gear over drive correctly and vibration

That "explains" it . . . . . . . . . but given the number of nit-pickers that ride Spyders, I am sure the debate and whining will rage on. Thanks for posting your solution Taz. I have never had the vibration issue and now I am beginning to understand why. When I first...

    Madstad 20" Windshield

I agree. . . . . . . . . . that just doesn't match my experience either. Something is wrong. With my 18" shield, and me being 5'8", at the lowest setting, the top of the shield is about even with my upper lip. I have it adjusted to about even with my eyebrows. It is stable and gives great...

    Thanks guys

Wait to later in the year . . . . . . . you will appreciate the extra inches. At 5'7", I had the 20" and loved it. But, I traded it for an 18" - which I also love. The only difference I have noticed ( besides having more adjustment options ) is that the 18" does let more air in from the...

Another rear-end accident killing a Spyder rider :(

Easy, but it has not happened yet. It is pretty simple to do with "smart" phones. They can be set to NOT make or accept any calls or texts when in motion over a specified speed. 911, emergency alerts, and GPS can be allowed. Downside is that passengers also cannot interact while in motion...

    And . . . . . . . . . some of us Mentally Challenged could use it too. Tom

New F3S went on a cross country road trip!

Cool!!! In one fell swoop, you managed to buy a great bike and make a once-in-a-lifetime experience you will carry with you for the rest of your life! What a great deal! Tom

    Flash EMS?

No . . . . . . . if I re-flashed you EMS, your F3 would have the performance profile of a brick. To quote Marvin, " Mark my words, this will end in tears." Tom

    F3 WINDSHIELD ADAPTER

That is a first for me. Surprising based on my experience, but it is nothing new for me to read something on this forum that leaves me scratching my head. Sorry it didn't work for you. Totally worth it for me. Tom

    F3 WINDSHIELD ADAPTER

I am not sure what you are waiting for . . . . . . . . It has been discussed here a lot and I have not seen a posting by anybody who has bought one that doesn't like it - the Masdstad shield. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?80722-Madstad-Brackets-amp-Shield-on-a-F3 I have...
