• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    half cover suggestions

I use an x-large m/cycle cover also. It covers everything except the front wheels including Madstad screen, Givi side cases and Givi top box and bar end mirrors. Doesn't leave much uncovered when you have to park outside a motel and it's raining.

    30 tooth front Sprocket

Has anyone fitted the after market 30 tooth front sprocket, if so could you share your thoughts about same. I've just finished a 6500 km trip, 5,207 kms of which I logged for petrol, and used 399 litres of petrol. At about $1.30 a litre just wondering if I can save myself some money. Pluses...

    Going Travelling

Well, I'm back at last. 6500 Kms and almost 5 weeks. I've managed to catch up with lots of family and old friends, and only got wet twice. I have to say a big thank you to Martin and Marion for their hospitality when we stayed with them while up at the Gold Coast. Hope I can return the...

    Going Travelling

I'm off on Thursday to put some more miles on the Spyder. I'm going from Tassie to Rockhampton via Shepparton, Dubbo, Coonabarrabran, etc, and coming home via the Coast. Away for 4 weeks, and about 5000 Kms. Hope to see some of you on the Road.

    Drive Belt

Coxy, not meaning any disrespect to Black Widow, but I think it shows that our American brothers do not realize the premium those of us outside of the USA pay on spares and extras. The one that got me was $1300 for the backrest (can't have the backrest without the sportrack, $500 +$800), and...

    Aussie Spyder Roadside Assist

I was just wondering if any Aussie Spyder owners have received notification about renewing their roadside assist for their second year. Apparently it is to be offered if you wish to pay for it. It was only free for the first year.

    removing the frunk

No problems. If that's the worse I'm called, I'll consider myself very fortunate.

    removing the frunk

You really don't have to remove the trunk to install the sway bar. Just remove the bolts underneath, and slacken the top bolts a little, and you can tip the front of the trunk up enough to remove the old one, and fit the new. I did mine OK and it only took about 45 mins max.

    BRP Comfort Seat

Thanks everyone for you opinions on the comfort seat. I think I'll wait awhile and see if I can get a better deal on e-bay later. It's the shipping charges to Australia that's the killer. Plus the fact that I'm a tight ars*.

    BRP Comfort Seat

Can anyone pass on their views on the BRP Comfort Seat. Are they worth getting, and are they more comfortable than the stock seat. There are a few going on e-bay at the moment and was considering getting one. Your views would be appreciated.

    Ikon rear shock

Yes they are available in the U.S.A. You may not be aware that IKON is a continuation of the previously known KONI shocks. The business was bought by an Ausie company that previously made said KONI shocks. The last prices I was quoted was Aus$800 a pair for front, and Aus$950for the rear...
