• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RYKER 600cc vs 900cc TOP speed and acceleration

☝️Me too , my GS is not as quick as some sport bikes I’ve owned but I sure wouldn’t want to give any performance while going to a single seater

    Best sounding muffler

I agree , I thought the Yoshimura sounded the best for me and I’m glad I got it . I have had a few Spyder owners approach me and ask what it was

    Keeping spder under cover outside

I’ve done both Have stored it in paid storage and kept it outside at home. It came back from storage dusty and evidence of mice . At home I built a platform for my lawn tractor and Spyder and cover both , keeping the snow cleared away and a battery tender on .... works good for me and no critters

My 990, New to the Forum from South Carolina

Nice Clean looking Ryde , always liked that colour .... Hindle pipes sound pretty good too . I added a Yoshimura pipe , taller windshield and Givi bags to my GS and it’s been a great machine . Like you I was out of bikes for quite a few years and the Spyder was a good safe way to get back out...

Good point Im just thinking next spring trading my GS in and moving to 3 cylinders I may see a little less demand from people looking for a first Spyder ... see what happens I guess :dontknow:

    New entry level Spyder

Wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what a new Spyder for around $10,000 will do to affect the selling price of older machines around that price ?

    Big Thank You To SPYDERLOVERS

UOTE=BajaRon;1383920]One thing that I think is a beneficial byproduct of properly bedding in the brake pads is that most people have never performed a panic stop on their Spyder. Which is basically what you are doing 4 or 5 times in this process. I think everyone should have a feel for what a...

    Advice to passengers

Pay attention The passenger needs to be aware of what’s coming up at all times just like the driver , same as for 2 wheels .... and yes hang on 👍

    Saw a 2008 Spyder yesterday

Got one I have a 2008 GS Premier Edition with a Yoshimura pipe , K&N Filter . It is louder than stock for sure but it also has more power especially at lower Rpms . When I buy my next Spyder it will be the triple and not likely change the exhaust

    New (2012) Spyder owner

Takes time Spyders do take a few rides to get used to but it sounds like you both were hanging on for dear life instead of Ryding it ? It should have got better after a few hours of driving though . Just practice relaxing your grip on the bars , although they handle a little like a four wheeler...

    friday 13th

Not this year I have been a few times ( My Brother lives near downtown Dover) can’t make it this year though . There will be a few hundred thousand people and bikes this year , so don’t be in a hurry to see or do anything , or get food or drinks . May also take a few hours to actually get into...

Robbed - 9300 mile service cost

Do it yourself ? Always amazes me on here how some people who do their own work tend to criticize those who don’t want to , or don’t trust anyone to work on their bikes no matter what their training is ? I started out as an apprentice mechanic ( had 3 years in ) but decided to go the...

What is a reasonable time to wait for a dealer to service your Spyder?

Same experience I went to the closest dealership to me initially to check out Spyders ( 99% sure to buy one ) I stopped in on my way home from work after doing some carpentry and had dust on my clothes etc ... I walked around for 20 minutes while salespeople ignored me until I finally...
