• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Who uses a Non-BRP headset with a 2014 CB?

Thank you! I'm on my way to the garage to remove the ground wire. Gene

Help!!! Stranded in Key West with a new 2015 Limited Spyder.

Yes, you can drive it in limp mode, but speed and RPM will be limited (you should be able to get up to just under 60 MPH). Try doing the "key walk"...shut off the bike, remove the key, and walk away from it for a while. Try it again and see what happens, it may reset. What were you doing when...

    Who uses a Non-BRP headset with a 2014 CB?

FINALLY got mine fixed. Well, the dealer partially fixed it and (thanks to this forum) I fixed it completely (I hope. Going on a long trip next week, time will tell). Anyway, the dealer installed 2 different CB's and 3 different entertainment/com harnesses and still had issues. They added...

    Samsung Adapter ?????

That's pretty much what I did. Got an iPod Touch at the local pawn shop for $35 and loaded it with tunes. It never leaves the bike. Gene

    Putting it back together...

What Joe said. I had the same issue...took it apart and re-aligned everything and it was fine. It's a kinda tricky fitment, but everything should line up properly. If any of the screws seem like they're not lined up right, take it apart again and retry it. Wish I had taken some photos, but no...

    Trailer wiring not working

Gotta get the multi-meter out and start testing the wires from front to back. Assuming the fuses are OK, you need to test the wires coming into/out of the module. It they output properly from the module, check them at the bike side of the trailer plug. It may be time-consuming, but it should get...

    Who uses a Non-BRP headset with a 2014 CB?

Yup, it sure is frustrating! There's no reason that it should work fine on some bikes, but not on others. If I can get a few responses of folks who have successfully used non-BRP headsets with '14 CB's, I can tell the dealer and BRP that they can fix my bike properly and have a leg to stand on...

    Who uses a Non-BRP headset with a 2014 CB?

As some of you may have seen, I have an ongoing problem trying to get the factory BRP CB working on my 2014 RT-Limited. THe original post is here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?78610-Another-2014-CB-problem-HELP! As of now, the dealer reports making progress with the...

    Another 2014 CB problem. HELP!

Just an update... Tomorrow begins week #5 that my Spyder has been at the dealership for this problem. They have replaced the CB unit and entertainment harness with no change. BRP insisted that they try a THIRD harness, which (of course) had to be ordered. I'm not sure what all they have done...

    Another 2014 CB problem. HELP!

The link points to a J&M headset. I have one and tried it...no luck:banghead:

    Another 2014 CB problem. HELP!

Thanks for the ideas! I have the phone # and address of the manufacturer (RadioSound out of Louisville, KY). They are one option if BRP can't figure it out, but after dropping $30K on a bike and factory accessories, I expect BRP to work out any issues with RadioSound (if the cb unit is the...

    Another 2014 CB problem. HELP!

Hi all, After purchasing my 2014 RT-L in September, I did a bunch of winter farkles and now have a CB issue that the dealer can't solve (yet!). From the beginning...purchased bike in September. Added Ron bar/links and TricLed foam grips and rode it till winter settled in. Put about 2600 miles...

GOT ANOTHER 15 SECONDS OF FAME

That's why I moved from Long Island to East Tennessee!! (Although I think I brought a little NY winter with me...it's my first winter here and has been the most severe winter in East TN since 1993!) It was nice to get out for a nice ride today, though (75 degrees).

    My Hydro-dipped RT Parts

NICE!!! Since installing my CB, I've noticed that the headset cord rubs the glove box. Nice to know that if the cord ever scratches the glove box, I've got a cool way to fix it!

Brake Light modulators in NY State?

Don't know what part of NY you're in, but prior to moving to TN, I spent over 50 years living on Long Island, with over 25 of them as a county Police Officer. I have ALWAYS had some sort of flashing brake lamp on my bikes, have ridden all over NY state, as well as pretty much every state on the...

    sway bar!

You're going to love it. Turned Cherohala Skyway, The Dragon, The Devil's Traingle, and similar roads a blast instead of a white-knuckler! (Although riding the Devils Triangle still gets the "nanny" a lot of exercise, but in a good way!).

2014 RTL 3rd brake light question

I just installed the Custom Dynamics running/brake light, TricLed 3rd/4th running/brake lights, and TricLed mirror-mount turn signals. I reset the signals as previously described (hold hazard button), and the combo works great. Very happy with all the new lights!

What cost should I expect for service?

I just paid $229 (tax included) and that price included the full synthetic oil (not the blend).

Wiring harness for after market trailer, 2010 RTS

Also, I would recommend cleaning and repacking the bearings with GOOD grease before even using the trailer. Harbor Freight trailers generally come with wheel bearing grease that looks like thin Vaseline and doesn't hold up well. It's cheap insurance.
