• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Biggest Lie that you ever told.

Her: How much did that cost? Me: It only cost <1/2 of what it really was/>.

    Corbin Seat

I called Corbin and asked them the diff before I ordered mine. Was told the ONLY difference was the design elements. The fit and form are exactly the same.

    EZ-Tag in Texas

Respectfully disagree. From the HCTRA: Pursuant to the Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 284, the owner or renter of record (not necessarily the driver) of a vehicle that passes through a toll facility is responsible for payment of all tolls. Failure to pay a toll is a toll violation, and is...

    EZ-Tag in Texas

I don't know about other states, but here if you have a tag registered to your license plate, you get that tag rate. If you run through a reader without a tag you eventually get a hefty statement in the mail with a $30+ dollar fee attached to each violation.

    EZ-Tag in Texas

I use TxTag and have mine mounted under the frunk lid. And since it is also registered to my plate, even if the reader doesn't sense the tag, the camera will match it up to my account. PS: you will need a separate one for your trailer if you pull one through the tolls.

OFFICIAL SPYDERFEST POST -- FROM MOGANG

Yeah, I thought there'd be a text message alert regarding that one but never saw one. I didn't know it was reset for after the auction tonight until I heard someone say something while we were leaving to head to hotel to pack up to hit the road in the AM. Oh well.

How are your "Digs" at Spyderfest?

Was at the Holiday Inn last year and it was ok. it's not a sponsored hotel this year though. At the BWCH this year...so far so good. I too like having the bike parked out by the front door. Makes it easy to unload and load up the trailer. Took advantage of the hot tub last night too...very...

    Detailing the Spyder

I been using the same stuff I use on my cars, Meguiars Ultimate Paste wax: http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-ultimate-paste-wax.html I like that unlike conventional wax, this synthetic stuff doesn't leave that annoying white residue on the black plastic you inevitably get it on.

    Affordability

It's just the wife and I, so usually when we want something we just save up for it and get it. That and my rule of no more than two active vehicle loans at a time. I don't really like having that monthly note. Hence why I still have my 2000 Land Rover. Its been paid for some time now, runs...

    Fuel Filter Replacement

Funny this topic comes up just as I too am looking at doing my 18,600 service and noticed the * about the fuel filter at 19K. For such an inexpensive part, i figure what the H___ while I'm at it, may as well. I don't need that possible issue creeping up on me while in route to SpyderFest.

Spyders in the Bayou: Weather/Water Update

We left NW Houston at about 830 and went through Port Arthur and Cameron then made our way back up to I-10 between Lake Charles & Jennings. Hardly any traffic at all and a great ride. Made it to the hotel about 1630. Of course we then had to hit the monsoon coming back from out...

Spyders in the Bayou: Weather/Water Update

I called SGS Causeway Bait and Tackle earlier today and spoke with a lovely lady who told me they are not having any flooding issues, but traffic can be a bit heavy with all the traffic traveling to the plant. She said just be careful. They had a bad wreck last night where someone ended up in...

Spyders in the Bayou: Weather/Water Update

Not sure about those lower highways except I remember seeing that 12 by Deweyville was close due to flooding. Looking for alt routes from Houston and looks like we'd have to take 59 north to Shreveport I-20 to then catch I-49 back down to I-10 into Lafayette. What a mess.

Spyders in the Bayou: Weather/Water Update

Personally, i don't care if I have to ride through rain. Fact is mother nature has closed the highway, so we're just not going to be able to make it at this point. Really PO'd about it too. You guys travel safe out there. Remember...turn around, don't drown.

Spyders in the Bayou: Weather/Water Update

I-10 closed at the TX/LA border They just closed the interstate at the TX/LA border. http://abc13.com/traffic/texas-louisiana-to-consider-closing-i-10-as-water-rises/1245832/ This makes it virtually impossible for us to get to the Bayou. Looks like we're going to miss it this year. We are...
