• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders in the Bayou: Weather/Water Update

I don't know if I can handle any more rain. Here's what it looked like downtown New Orleans today.

Got to Raceland this afternoon. Weather was great, but forgot to wear sunscreen. It was so good to catch up with old friends and made a new friend already. Looking forward to chatting with her some more.

It's sprinkling out this evening, but the fun will go on. Camaraderie!

We left NW Houston at about 830 and went through Port Arthur and Cameron then made our way back up to I-10 between Lake Charles & Jennings.

Hardly any traffic at all and a great ride. Made it to the hotel about 1630.

Of course we then had to hit the monsoon coming back from out visit to LaRose. :gaah:

It's all good. We'll be dry by morning :D

Well our luck ran out. I got a nice ride in this morning then the rain moved in. The rain cleared up long enough for a nice dinner they put on for us outside with a live band. It was a great gathering now the rain has returned with a vengeance. The rain is supposed to move out tonight and I'm hoping to get a nice long ride in on Saturday.

Well the weekend was fantastic and only a bit of rain however it ended in a tight spot for me and the misses and I have to thank the Spyder Riders of the Bayou for coming to our rescue. It's late and we just got home without a Spyder... more tomorrow.

We got in a few hours ago. A bit chilly and windy going home, but the I-10 bridge was open so we were happy campers.

The lock on my F3 Gaz tank froze up. Thankfully open. Sniffed a few fumes coming home, but nothing serious. The Spyder is under warranty, so no problems hopefully.

Just want to thank all the people who made this adventure possible. The Friday night party at the host hotel was a hoot, the Swamp Tour and lunch were awesome, and enjoyed Louisiana's Finest Saturday evening escorting us to the Crawfish Boil.

Y'all know how to do it right!

Spyders on the Bayou was great fun......weather did not get in the way of a good event.....an Ex-Large time was had

Just reporting in. I got home a out 9 pm last night in a rental car. Left my Spyder in Stillwater, OK. I don't know much about that dealer, but they were willing to bring a truck about 30 miles to pick me up, and then it was a much longer drive back, since I was pointed the wrong way on the turnpike.

I've seen on SL about people's Spyders going into limp mode before, and have always been thankful I never had such problems. Now I know how it feels! :sour:

Wow, what happened to you?

I have to add we had a great time even if there was a drop or two of water. My hat is off to Leonard for rescuing us from the I-310 bridge. That whole group bends over backwards to make sure you have a great time.

Just at the last toll booth on US 412, Cimarron Turnpike, the Spyder indicated limp mode and died. I pushed it to the toll booth, and paid, then pushed it over to the side and called BRP roadside assistance. It's now at the dealer at Stillwater, OK.

voodoo curse

It looks like there was a voodoo curse in the area 2 or 3 bikes dropped dead hope you all made it home safe.

Here is where I was when my Spyder went into limp mode. I was at Joe's place in Arkansas and we decided to take a trip to Texas for lunch. Luckily it turned out to be just a blown fuse. It was the day before we were heading for Louisiana.
