• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Chuck Norris Just Put Van Damme's Epic Volvo Ad Completely to Shame

Right you are. However, if I remember correctly the President doesn't fly in a C5 and that would have messed up my question. What was my question anyway? No matter, just seeing if anybody was paying attention to anything other than Chuck. Good catch. You are the only one to say anything...

    SpyderLovers- Why We Ride

Well heck. Nobody left me anything new to say. I agree with everybody, even the part about how much fun skydiving is (much younger days). I have ridden everything from a Cushman Eagle up to a Harley Ultra Classic, fully dressed including the big bore kit. That thing could certainly scoot...

    State Trooper Recalls Christmas Eve

What a wonderful video! It's a good thing I learned to type in high school so I don't have to see what my fingers are doing. I have pulled the link out of the original posting and sent it to all my email address book members. I hope it goes completely around the world before the coming...

Chuck Norris Just Put Van Damme's Epic Volvo Ad Completely to Shame

I don't care if it was real or not. It was a very good commercial. Think maybe one of those 747's was Air Force One and all those folks were Secret Service?

New to the Forum with Questions

2 vs 3 wheelers First off, welcome to the forum. There are some folks here that know a lot more about Spyders than I do, but I will at least tell you my views. I have a 2012 RT-S SM-5 and came from a fully dressed Harley Ultra Classic. The ride is different to say the least, but you get...

    Cover?

Chris, if Rudy doesn't want it, I'd love to have it. My cat has decided that my Spyder is much more comfortable to sleep on than my wife's car. So now, instead of the car having cat paws all over it, my Spyder does. Thanks, just a thought...

    Delay in 2014's

    Trailering a Spyder RT

I have used a 6x12 enclosed U-Haul before, but it is extremely tight and you have to be ultra careful when loading and unloading. The door opening is only about 2 inches wider than the wheel width of the Spyder, so it takes lots of guiding from a couple of people to get in in and out. You also...

    2014 RTL SE6 Test Ride report - October 21st, 2013

My RTS-SM5 is looking more and more like it's time for a trade-in, but my wife has already said NO and I haven't even asked yet. Maybe later...

Left-Side Alternative to Right-Hand "Fly By Wire Throttle"

Does anybody have any names and address of companies that might provide left hand/foot throttles? I have a friend that lost his right arm at the shoulder to bone cancer at age 15. He has overcome any problems thrown at him by that and is now a Doctor treating cancer himself. He is looking at...

    Parking Brake Not Working

Had similar problem I had a similar problem on the second day I had my 2012 RTS. The parking brake would not release no matter what I did. I live about two hours from my dealer, so I tried to diagnose it myself. Not knowing exactly how the parking brake actually works, I didn't try backing...

    Maybe useful to someone...

Made me evaluate my riding I'm one of those with years of riding experience, but it never hurts to review. Once you begin taking things for granted is when things can go bad in a big hurry. Normally when a bike and larger vehicle tangle, the bigger vehicle wins. Always be on guard and aware...

WWII Veterans get to see the Memorial!

My Dad went on an Honor Flight about three years ago, shortly before he died. If he had gotten up there and been turned away and then died without seeing the memorial, I'd have been highly PO'd. Cudos to these very honorable men for doing what was right in their case. For them to have been...

    My First Post

Welcome Welcome to the forum to both gman9 and moto29. Lots of luck on getting your new ryde. About the '12 being a pretty good year - I have a 2012 RT-S SM5 and have had zero problems. If you can't wait till the '14s come out, you probably would do well getting a used '12. Anyway, shopping...
