• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heading downrange, need long term storage advice

I'm headed to someplace hot and sandy for a year. Anyone have long term storage advice for the Spyder? I'm not opposed to just throwing away the battery and buying a new one when I get back, rather than leaving it on a tender for that long.

Sorry to hear about your Spyder. Did you come off or were you able to hold on?

    RT vs RS

I was riding my RS around Ft. Knox a few months ago and pulled into the PX Shopette alongside two really cute girls. The one driving says to me, "Is that like a trike?" They're cute, so I try not to roll my eyes and say, "Yes, it is." She replies with, "That's so cool! It's like a trike for...

    Who's the FRIGGIN' IDIOT???

I accidently made that even worse. After replacing the rear tire, I aligned the valve with one of the sprocket spokes. :banghead:

    ABS saved my butt

The ABS has been causing an issue with me because I'm so used to hitting the break without concern for lock-up. I've been riding a 250cc dual sport for the last month and have left rear tire skid marks a few times. :opps:

    The garage is getting crowded

The first owner said he rode it across the neighbor's lawn once. He bought it as a daily commuter (70 MPG ), but his work location moved further away and wanted something bigger.

    OSR Catawba/Marblehead ride

I was getting on the Miller ferry (on foot) in Catawba about 3:30 PM, just as you guys were getting off. It was one of those "It's a small world" moments.

Hello, my name is Joe and I'm a wuss

I was at Ft Gordon from June through November last year. I don't know what it is about Augusta, but it has heat like I've never seen it before. The weather today in Ohio was just like that.

Hello, my name is Joe and I'm a wuss

In an effort to redeem myself here, it did make it up to 100 by 5 PM. :yikes: On the way home, a thunderstorm rolled through and dropped the temps down to 75. I'm heading out for a ride.

Hello, my name is Joe and I'm a wuss

I have daycare duty Monday through Thursday, so Friday is the only day I can ride the Spyder 15 miles to work. This morning it was 85 degrees with high humidity at 8 AM. I took the truck and cranked up the AC. :opps:
