• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another cracked windshield arm - 2014 RT Limited

Now you guys have me wondering. I've noticed that when I leave work I put the windshield up while I'm on the access road getting onto the highway and the windshield buffets around quite a bit. Going to check it at lunch.

Need advice on riding across the country..

Relax your back I found that I was unconsciously tensing my back muscles and after a couple of hours felt like I'd gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson. Got the BRP backrest to go with the stock seat and it makes a real difference in being able to consciously relax a bit. Also use the cruise...

New To Forum -- Many questions

I can speak to the heat issue. I had a 2008 and it often INDICATED that it was running hot by the bars on the dash, but it never overheated and never went into limp mode and I live in San Antonio where it gets pretty hot. Nothing like sitting at a long light in the Texas summer. I have a 2014...

Suggestions For BRP Concerning Future Models

My RT wish list: - Upgraded stereo amp and speakers, we're talking another $50 and we could have decent speakers - True blue tooth integration. And fix the iPhone 5S cable while you're at it - Make the dashboard more programmable. If I want all digital displays, good. I want to leave it on the...

Controlling volume of rear speakers while listening to the radio

You guys were all right. I wound up using the fade control on the handlebars to shift sound two notches to the rear and it sounded like there was an equal amount of sound coming out of both sets of speakers while listening to the radio. It sounded as good as it could going home knowing that the...

Controlling volume of rear speakers while listening to the radio

Agree. I've run into endless problems with integrating my iPhone 5S with this thing and had to dig an old iPhone 3 for mobile music but around town I listen to the radio mostly and have found the rear speakers to be way too low in volume. I'm heading over to the dealer now to pick up the Spyder...

Controlling volume of rear speakers while listening to the radio

I thought my passenger audio controls were broken as when listening to the radio, the left and right buttons allow you to go to the next radio station but up and down have no effect on volume from the rear speakers. In fact, the sound output from them is significantly lower than the front ones...

Dealer Called for 600 mile Service Appointment on my 2014 RT-S

I've been pleased with my dealer so far and like them as good folks to do business with. They bolted the BRP Driver's Backrest on and let me ride it for several hundred miles before deciding to buy it, which I thought was a great idea since seats and seat rests can't be evaluated on a short 10...

    2014 RT Rider's Backrest Question

I have the stock seat and BRP driver's back rest and love it. I'm 5' 11 1/2 " and it works well for me and my wife. Agree with Texas above about the need for a heated seat. Granted we live in Texas and it is usually hot but I got spoiled with my old BMW K1600GTL that had a heated seat and grips...

Soon to start a massive audio project on my RT

Now that you're done with your speakers, come on out and do my Spyder! I think I'd love some upgraded speakers and amp but would rather have the storage than the ginormous sub-woofer. Great job!

11 RTS not recognized by iphone5

Me too I have a 2014 RT-S and an iPhone 5S with the exact same problem. The expensive Apple 30 pin to lightening connector won't do it for you. The issue is the BRP 9 pin to 30 pin adapter is only made for earlier iPhones. Not the 5S or 5C. BRP will have to make a new 9 pin to iPhone 5S adapter...

At what speed does the parking brake cease to operate?

I realized the electronic parking brake is located in an easy to use area right next to other switches that you may use while in motion and I got to thinking, what happens if you accidentally hit the parking brake switch while moving? I hit it at 1 or 2 MPH and it stopped the bike immediately...

    Bugs Fear Me

On a trip last weekend I must have smashed every bug in West Texas with my Spyder. BTW, did you notice that the radiator scoops and covers for the 2014 RT-S is low and wide and perfect for sucking up bugs, leaves, etc.? Fall in Texas happens in March and April and I drove through a swirling...

Where Did You Ride to this Past Weekend?

Agree. The Three Sisters is a great ride. Especially love the twistys north of Utopia. My wife an I took the new Spyder to San Angelo to visit the grand kids. It was a lot of highway miles but the Spyder is very smooth and stable and it was actually quite nice. I just added the BRP driver back...

    BEST warranty.

Yes, I got a letter with a detachable card from BRP about 3 weeks after purchasing my Spyder. I put it in the ziplock bag where I keep registration and proof of insurance in case I need a tow or something

    iPod discussion

Still not getting an iPhone 5S integrated with my RT-S I posted this in the RT Section earlier then saw this thread active again and am hoping someone can help I read all the posts related to iPhone integration but don't think they addressed specifically how you connect a 2014 RT-S to an...

Right cable for 2014 RT-S and iPhone 5S

Yes, I think that is what the problem is. My iPhone is the latest 5S and from what I've read, there is special circuitry in the cable to let it send data and charge. Even through I got an official iPhone converter from Apple just like the one in your picture, it still doesn't work with the BRP 9...

Right cable for 2014 RT-S and iPhone 5S

I read all the posts related to iPhone integration but don't think they addressed specifically how you connect a 2014 RT-S to an iPhone 5S. The RT-S came with the 9 pin to iPhone 4 cable. I went and got the expensive Apple iPhone 4 to 5S adapter ($50 with shipping) and as soon as I plugged the...

Picked up my new 2014 RT-S SE6 **AWESOME**

That's it! I ride mountain and road bikes and the triggers on the mountain bike are trigger to up shift and thumb to downshift. Going to be hard to unlearn that.

Picked up my new 2014 RT-S SE6 **AWESOME**

Yes, I wasn't sure I was going to like the SE6 transmission since that is the only one my dealer ever orders but now that I've used it a bit, I'm really loving it. I especially like downshifting two gears going into an uphill turn or multiple downshifts pulling up to a stop. I have caught myself...
