• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, obviously not enough to get out of my way. But I taught them a lesson.

Ran through a swarm of something. Happened in less than a second.

It was a great ride today. Weather was perfect. Almost no wind. We have had 25mph plus winds all week. Took the back was to Capitan NM. Almost 80 miles of gentle turns. Most roads around here are perfectly straight for 10 miles at a time.

Stopped and paid my respects to Smokey Bear. He turns 80 this year. The real Smokey is buried in Capitan. And this week is Smokey Bear Days so I walked around the booths for awhile.

Did some more mountain riding and then went to the Iris Farm in Hondo NM. Many flowers in bloom.

Then came home. 176 miles and I still have two bars showing on the gas guage.

Nice !!

ryde. Glad you got a break and was able to have a nice ryde and celebrate smokey's day..:ohyea::ohyea:

On a trip last weekend I must have smashed every bug in West Texas with my Spyder.

BTW, did you notice that the radiator scoops and covers for the 2014 RT-S is low and wide and perfect for sucking up bugs, leaves, etc.? Fall in Texas happens in March and April and I drove through a swirling wind full of Oak leaves and Oak pollen and when I got home my radiator intakes were covered

Been up that way many times. Use to ride my dirt bike, my 125 Trials and my Honda cruiser all through those mountains. Were you around that area when they had the Aspencade in Ruidoso? Had as many as 8,000 bikes there when I was there. My late ex wife is from Ruidoso. He foster parents lived in Roswell. That was back in the 70's.

I went to the aspencade once back in the 80s. Then moved away for many years. Just got back a couple years ago.
