We just use the bluetooth directly from our phones to sena headsets and skip the bike's radio altogether. We set the music to shuffle for random songs. 16GB iphone holds lots of songs.

I have an IPOD classic in my trunk and use the 30-pin connector. As previously mentioned, if you are listening to your IPOD and switch to an alternative source (i.e. AM, FM, weather radio, etc.), the IPOD stops and picks up right where you left off when you select IPOD again.Do you have to turn on the iPod every time you want to listen to it or does it go into some sort of "sleep" mode that would wake back up when you select it on the radio? The iPod classic was mentioned as a good option as I want to utilize the 30 pin cord that came with my bike. Does the iPod touch have the same connection? Any reason to go to a touch vs a classic? I'd love to just have the iPod connected to the bike all the time sitting in the frunk ready to play music from utilizing the handlebar controls. Thanks in advance.
I have an iPod Nano 4th generation, and it does play on my 2014 RT-S. You can scroll through the songs using the handlebar controlls, but you can NOT play a play list, play by artist or play by music catagory. You can only scroll through a list of all songs and play them that way.
I am looking into buying a new iPod and was wondering if anyone has gotten the new iPod Nano 7th generations to work with the 2014 Spyders? The 5th & 6th generations are more expensive then the new 7th generation Nanos. I'll settle for a 5th or 6th, but I figured I'd ask you guys first...
Are you experiencing the same problem I asked about here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?66179-iPod-problem? Sounds like maybe so.Yes, I can actually scroll through and select a playlist or artist and select them, but instead of playing what I selected on the 4th gen ipod it goes back to the full listing of all my songs and start at the top again... It's quite annoying...
