• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rykers Require 87 Octane - Not 92!

The Rotax 1330 ACE engine is running 12:1 compression (see pic below). Todays engine management systems incorporate knock sensors. When knock is detected (primarily due to lower octane fuel than specified) timing is automatically retarded to reduce knock. When no knock is detected, well you...

    Lamonster Frame Mount Drink Holder

First, thanks to all who replied. I will definitely order this from Lamont and give it a try. I'll also keep an eye out for the bolt irritation situation. I've ordered from McMaster Carr before, good people to deal with. Thanks for the tip.

    Lamonster Frame Mount Drink Holder

Seriously considering the Lamonster frame mount drink holder http://www.lamonstergarage.com/can-am-spyder-f3-fmb-bottle-holder-lamonster/ but would like honest opinions first. My biggest concern after viewing the installation video is removing the frame bolt and possible re-alignment issues...

Latest TST for Belt Tensions- Where to see it?

I checked the belt tension on my 2019 F3 Ltd (on the ground with a Krikit), 160-170. If there's any vibes they're very minor. Fairly smooth throughout the RPM ranges that I drive in.

    Which travel luggage to use?

I bought the BRP F3 luggage for the trunk and frunk. Fit's great and very spacious. If you're considering a bag to strap on somewhere, I'd consider a dry bag, many available.

    F3 Limited 2017, 2018 or 2019

Well, I must have the only one out there with good speakers. My 2019 (with 20.8 firmware) sounds great at any speed. I have the treble and bass set at their midpoints and the auto volume on. I wear a full coverage Nolan helmet with earplugs and it still sounds great. I just sold my 2015...

    F3 new hole between position 3 + 4

I'm using position 4 but the OEM brake rod (to put it plainly) sucked. I installed the Lamonster brake rod for positon 4 which lowered the pedal and put it into a position which is super comfortable for my right foot to reach. Great accessory and cheap too! Two hoots to Lamont . . great job ...

LED Headlight Kit - Has Anyone Used This Kit ?

I've attached a picture of the r/h headlight reflector on my F3 Ltd. I see that light is reflected forward from both sides of the reflector but not from the top or bottom. The top side appears to be a "diffuser" and there is no reflective surface on the bottom side what-so-ever. I conclude...

LED Headlight Kit - Has Anyone Used This Kit ?

BSCRIVE - thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware of the 4 sided H4 LED's but will certainly look into it.

LED Headlight Kit - Has Anyone Used This Kit ?

Saw this LED headlight kit on Ebay for $64.95 and was wondering if any of the lighting gurus on this forum were familiar with it. I've thought about the Lamonster kit but am generally unhappy with some of the reviews I've read, mainly to do with the lighting pattern of the OEM reflectors not...

    Lamonster LED kit

Considering all of the above, I've decided to hold off on the Lamonster LED kit for my F3 Ltd. I think the bike desperately needs LED headlights and it's a shame that BRP hasn't kept pace with the industry in this area.

    Stock seat

I've spent a lot of money on aftermarket seats over the years including an Ultimate on my last bike. Then I discovered the Airhawk seat cushion. Much more comfortable than anything I've ever owned for long rides (and a lot cheaper) :D

    Hyperflash on 2019 F3L

Likewise, I had the firmware updated last week to version 20.8 (no charge) and the hyperflash is gone. I now also have miles to empty read out centered in the fuel gauge.

:2thumbs: Thumbs up for Sierra Cycles. Bought my B.E.S.T. extended warranty from them. Great to deal with.

    F3 Limited trunk issue?

Yep, my 2019 F3 Ltd does the same thing. Have to gently push it in on the left side. I just live with it. Hate to even mention it to a dealer for fear they'll screw something else up. Not much faith in dealers. :opps:
