• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

changing from two wheels to three

2 to 3 wheels is great to keep riding. Tow years ago we went from a Yamaha Midnight Venture that was my favorite two wheeler but due to leg and balance issues I put a bolt on trike kit (training wheels really). We liked it but the fun factor was gone. Shoulder issues left me with giving up...

    Ultimate vs Corbin

Seat mod. I have a 2013 RT/S. It had the stock lumbar support. I bought a used one from a member on here for 175 plus shipping and took the cover off and my Dremmel tool and cut out the lumbar foam, about 2' and kinda hollowed down the seat alittle in that 2 inches. did not touch the cover...

    driver backrest upgrade

backrest upgrade. One thing I did with my Show Chrome Utopia(?) back rest was remove the stock foam and replaced with a cutout from an old egg crate foem mattress pad and folded it over itself to double up/smooth the egg shape. it is softer and gave me more room and did away with that "push...

    Heat recall done!!

My fuel mileage is roughly the same. We were loaded on the trip and Vermont is mountainous. 32+. I'll see what it is with "normal" useage. I run premium most of the time, 91+. The scoops look great on my blue RTS. I've got to get pictures up after vacation.

    Heat recall done!!

Update Heat recall done. Trip done!:yes::ohyea:Recall repairs very nice. No heat issues. No fumes. Fuel mileage thru the mountains loaded to the max was around 32-34 mpg with 91 octane. Shifting was no different and engine noise seems the same to me. The left side mirror was alittle...

    Heat recall done!!

Heat recall done I gotta say, after another 60 mile ride the panels are cool going down the road and not hot to touch at all. The fan does not come on as often when shutting down either. the "hot foot" issue by my highway pegs isn't as hot but still feel some warmth. I had found that even...

    Heat recall done!!

Got the ride back this morning. It is about a 25 minute ride to my house from dealer. Seems very good. Panels were cool to touch and no heat while fueling from under seat. The scoops look nice on my blue Spyder. I'll post pics when I remember how ;). Bike trip to Vermont starts this Saturday and...

2013 RT Elevated Temperature in Engine Compartment - Safety Campaign

Re call repairs My repairs are set for June 19th. We shall see what and how they work. I've had mine for 1 year and had no real issues with "over" heating. It does get hot. The gas smell was there now and then too. Not real hot in Maine usually and I avoid traffic if possible. I'll let you...

STD seat vs BRP Comfort Seat

STD seat vs BRP Comfort Seat vs cut the STD seat. I took the seat cover off a stock seat I bought and took my multi tool and cut out the lumbar support foam. There is a piece of wire(?) moulded into the seat area that I left intact. Basically gained the 2" and then had to take it to an...

    First "real" ride.

Today was really nice. Temps in the mid to upper 60's. Lots of sun. Took the Rt-S out with the wife in tow and put 70 miles on. All the upgrades and "thrifty" modifications worked well. The Rivco boards and heel toe shifter are great. The Big Bike Show Chrome back rest with softer egg crate foam...

Keeping the front end down...going wide..!!

Nice Bikes! All very nice/cool bikes! I would be afraid of scratching or wreaking anything like that. I think I'll keep mine closer to stock.

Thanks for the tech lesson! Thanks to you Bob Denman for the tutorial:chat:. It was very helpful. I think I posted pics twice but who gets tired of looking at Spyder mods?:D

    New additions!

Here goes nothing!!! I will now try to upload some pics of additions! One other note; I took the harder foam pad out of my back rest and cut two pieces out of an egg crate foam rubber mattress and put them together egg crate sides in and put those in the back rest. It is much softer and doesn't...

    New additions!

It has been a long winter here in Maine and elsewhere. I got a Big Bikes Part small Shoe Chrome(?) back rest for Christmas and bought a used stock seat from a guy on Spyder Lovers for $200+-. Took the seat cover off and with my multi- tool and cut out the lumbar support foam back about 1.2 to 2...

    From two to three

I understand what you are going thru. I too had Guilliam Barre" syndrome over 30 years ago. I pretty much recovered everything but 11 years ago I injured my spinal column and had neck surgery. After that my legs and shoulders were never the same but wife and I did keep riding. After a bought of...
