• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Overwhelmed........

Price match I would ask your local dealer if he will price match or come close to the price at Louis. don't let anyone here tell you that the 2013 model is worth $5,000 more than the 2012 models because a new vehicle loses 20% of it's value when you drive it off the lot. The 2012 RSS will be...

The new 2013 Spyder RT ST and RS

Shot at the timid My statement was not a shot at Lamont as I believe everything you say. My comment was a shot at a forum filled with people who shift between 4k-5k rpm. That means that they are not riding over 5,000 rpm very often. Personally, I never shift before 6k and when we are power...

    2012 Rt Offer Made

Buy from Luis in Texas I agree on buying from Texas. I have recommended the same to my brother in Charleston, SC and he forwarded the info to his dealer and the dealer is either going to price match or buy it from Luis and resell it to my brother for + $ couple hundred. Whatever the reason, It...

Should the 2015 Spyder have a bigger engine?

Not great listening skills It appears that 87% of the Spyder riders that have answered this poll up until now feel that the Spyder is in need of a bigger engine. Maybe BRP needs to do a better job of listening. Dealerships all over the country are still full of left over 2012 models and their...

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

By ear I think the majority of us all shift by ear, but we still know how many rpm's and mph's the sounds represent. My Spyder does not even begin to sound ready for an up shift till around 6000 RPM sometimes 7,000 RPM and that is still 2,000 Revs per minute away from the redline.

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

I agree Don't get into 5th till at least 75 mph and I am still ages away from redline. Always have maximum control, always inside power band, always get over 30 mpg, always have fun, always have huge small on my face. The same people asking for a sixth gear never even go over 85 mph. I can...

The new 2013 Spyder RT ST and RS

No disrespect meant No disrespect Lamont but,,,, Most people on this forum think that going over 5,000 rpm is crazy so it shouldn't be too hard to keep up with them. You can't tell us that a new machine with 100 -160 lbs of extra weight is going to perform better than our now retro 106 hp...

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

Bob, you're shifting to soon If you shift at 4,000 RPM than your Spyder enters the next gear at 3,000 RPM and that is the definition of lugging an engine.

2013 ST thoughts from a RS riders perspective

You read wrong Sorry Dave. The RSS is $18,500 the ST is starting at $19,000 for a manual which doesn't include floorboards, WTF!! So... For a ST model that is even close to anything/touring you need to fork out $25,000 and you still don,t have a backrest.

2013 ST thoughts from a RS riders perspective

A spit in our face It's like they're laughing at us by selling us a sport touring model for $25,000 and not even including the OEM BRP backrest. How can you tour without a backrest for your passenger? You can wear gloves if it's cold, but no backrest at all??? So add dealer fees, taxes...

    Electronic throttle control/rims

Just the rims The rims on the new RSS are sick!! I wonder if you can just put those new 15s on the 2012s

2013 ST thoughts from a RS riders perspective

Big NO NO There is nothing sporty about adding weight and taking away horsepower. That is a big No No for many people, whether they already own a Spyder or were looking to buy and have never ridden one. Also, many people will come on Forums to learn about these vehicles and if BRP does not...
