• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Any android tekkies out there?

Galaxy S III phone or Galaxy 2 Tablet I currently have an iPhone that I use on the audio system on the Spyder RTS. I have the Galaxy Tab and like it. I'm thinking of upgrading my iPhone 3 to the Galaxy S III. My question is : can I connect an Android device to the Audio system? Is there a...

    2013 Can-Am Roadster Owner Event

Alternate Locations I think it would make sense to alternate BOTH SpYderfest and the Owners Event. One year East Coast for Owners event and West coast for SpYderfest. The following year ; West coast for Owners Event & East coast for SpYderfest. That way there would always be long trip if you...

    2013 Can-Am Roadster Owner Event

I don't care WHERE - I just need to know WHEN Many SpyderLovers have to book their vacation time in advance. At least if I knew when it was being held, I could book the time off. I prefer something Northeast this time (VT, NH, CT. MN) but these Spyders could rYde anywhere. It's been a while...

Where to get 12v outlet for dash?

I had the BRP Power Outlet Mounted on the dash of my '08 RS. They are not "all that" watertight. The barrel of the liner rusted, but still worked. I think I would try a marine unit next time. I am sur ethe BRP dealer woudl have something from thier Sea Doo accessories or a boating store nearby...

Did BRP do this just to confuse us?

i had my RS ('08) up to 200 kph. I haven't been able to get my 2012 RT past 175kph. BUT oh the comfort factor makes it soooo worth it!

I know , I know, this is old news (Hand Brake lever)

ABSOLUTELY! If you Are not going to have your foot near the brake, you better have a hand brake... BUT if you are using the cruise control and don't have your hand near the front brake... Ya might need one on the left side of the bars... WHERE will it all end? Kind of like adding a hand brake on...

I know , I know, this is old news (Hand Brake lever)

It took me about 15 minutes to realize that I could get better breaking with ONE brake peddle than a Brake Peddle AND a Lever. i don't have to put my feet down on the ground abnd take my foot off of the peddle and rely on holding a hand brake to stop the SpYder from rolling. i say, if the ABS...

    MAINTAINENCE CONFUSION ON 2011 RTS

Make sure you check our oil level at the 500 mile intervals as recommended. I think you might find that you'll need to add some oil before you get to the next service interval. I found about an extra quart ps needed between oil changes nojoke

    2012 Rt Offer Made

Money is made on Service I had all of my service done at the dealer that I purchased my bike from. i can tell you he is happy to service Spyders from ANYWHERE. THe dealer made a lot more money on my service visits over the 70,000 miles or so than they could ever hope to make on ONE sale. If a...

    E-Z Pass

Thanks! Thanks guys, I wasn't sure if it worked through the Frunk. I'll keep it as high as possible with the least amount of "barriers". I'll be using it mostly in NY. I like the idea of inside the frunk, instead of on the windshield, so it doesn't get "misplaced" when parked. Now to try it...

    E-Z Pass

I am curious to know where Spyder Ryders place thier E-Z Passes when rYding thier Spyder. Dash Windscreen? Do you use Velcro to attach it? Will it work from inside the storage compartment? I am hoping that I don't have to attach it to the Windscreen, but will do what I have to do.

    Drive By Wire? Really?

I had the '08 RS and now have the RT-S I don't know if it is the Fly by Wire or the HP difference, weight etc, but i DO notice that the respose was quicker on the RS than on the RT-S. Don't get me wrong. I think that the comfort difference is well worth the responce difference, but I am just...

    HI

I use a Prosthetic almost all of the time. I carry my crutches for in the motel room etc (or if my leg is bothering me). Mine are collapsable, but i think ca carry quite a bit of weight. I'll try to get the information on them if you are interested. They are available in Canada at Shoppers...

    HI

Welcome to the Cluster! I am a above knee (left) amputee and the Spyder has been a Godsend to me. I put about 80K km on an RS, similar to yours but 2008. Then I moved over to the RT-S this May. It is more comfortable, but not quite as quick. You are going to LOVE your new aquisition..... Nice...

Any thoughts regarding this fueling question?

1/3 gallon= ~1.25 litres The difference in price from Reg and Premium is 15 cents per liter. I guess I am giving away 15 - 20 cents on the fill IF I follow a regular gas user. Good point though and one I didn't think about Maybe I should start following the Performance machines and put in a...

Is this why you bought it?

Go for COMFORT! A LOT of the reason is that the three wheels makes it so I don't hold up the machine. The reverse means i don't push it around so I guess the emnd result is YES. I am not sure that is a bad thing. There are a lot more "Old" guys driving Cadi's and Lincoln's because they are...
