• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did BRP do this just to confuse us?

I won't say where or when but my 2010 RT riding 1 up has seen 115 MPH and still had some throttle left.

:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: The Spyder does not have a chip to limit the top speed, or programming in the ECU. It does have a rev limiter that works in all the gears. As I recall, the theoretical top speed when I calculated it was south of 140...but the Spyder hasn't the horsepower to overcome the wind resistance and get to max rpm in high gear.

I use the most time the KMs/Hour - on my very first GS there was no "limiter" for the top speed - but they changed the software - now she limits the maximum RPMs (only) in the 5th gear ... my RT with the smaller shield / without the flaps / lying on the Tank - is not able to come over 173kmh/ 106 mpH ... don`t ask how much fuel she used for this "tests"

The rpm limiter works in any gear... I've bounced off of mine (9200) a couple of times while running up through them in a spritely fashion...

I know I have a lot of riding yet to do but you have to have so much confidence in your vehicle/spyder and your own skills to drive that fast. Scary part is they all have one common factor...human beings, so they could fail at any time! :yikes:
I wouldn't try that either....;)

I know... Just return it and take the cash back BEFORE you ever buy it!
They've got to fix that loophole... :roflblack:

I don't have a gps, but I rode beside my wife in her Expedition. My digital gauge was saying 81mph, and her truck was reading 74mph. Anyone else's spyder over-shoots the speed reading?...

I surely hope not. First, I find out the 200mph is just kph, now you tell me that when I see 80mph it really is 75mph. BRP is killing my buzz with this one. Lol

Per my GPS, my :ani29: speedo is off by about 3 MPH (reads less than GPS reading).

i had my RS ('08) up to 200 kph. I haven't been able to get my 2012 RT past 175kph. BUT oh the comfort factor makes it soooo worth it!
