• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mirror extensions

:agree: While the 'fit' is a little off (getting the billet aluminum milled to the angles required would have jacked the price even more), the added visibility is worth the money.

How's the trip software? Is it fairly to route through side roads - Hwy 321 to Caney Creek Rd to Grindstone Ridge to Mill Creek to Little Cove to Valley View and back on 321

    A different trunk

KM KD-237 - $300 Mutazu DMY Vivid Black Trunk - $110 Mutazu Wrap around backrest - $70 Mutazu LED Brake light - $35 12" X 18" 16 gauge plate - $17 I'll remove the trunk tonight and take a few more pictures of the plate. The brake comes with 2 options for wiring - a standard 'on' when 12vdc...

    Helmet Temps

Having several inches of insulation (via air) would impact their readings. I would venture to bet that the closer the thermometers were to the shell, the greater the difference would be. " . . . The white one was warm to the touch on outside and the black was very hot." My bald head would be...

    A different trunk

The 'short' of it was - after mounting the KM luggage rack, I purchased a small sheet of 16 gauge steel from Lowes. I mounted the plate to the top of the KM rack and then mounted the trunk to and through the plate. There are 8 bolts holding the trunk. (4) through the plate and to the rack and...

    A different trunk

Sure 'nuff http://www.mutazu.com I didn't care for the tubular racking for the other trunks I had been seeing. And the KM luggage not looks better stand alone, it's more adaptable. Did I mention how strong the darn thing is -

    A different trunk

I knew there were some alternatives to the Stock/Givi/Corbin trunks. Thought something a little more angular would interesting look and my wife wanted a better back rest. If you're willing to invest a little time, the Kewl Metal Laggage rack makes mounting any trunk easy. (Thanks, Matt)

    Helmet Temps

Interesting experiment. Where were the thermometers placed in relation to the interior of the helmet? Were they placed close to the upper-interior helmet shell (same positioning as your skull) or were they roughly in the center of the helmet.

Thanks for the response, Matt. Sure thing. By the way - here's my 'fix'.

Kewl Metal Luggage Rack & Corbin Seats

Has anyone installed the KewlMetal Luggage Rack with the Corbin seats? I find that the 'over stuffed' shape of the rear seat is interfering with the seating of the rack to the channel support.

    Another headlight/shock question...

Should have mentioned - I was able to have my Spyder parked next to another and compare headlights prior to adjusting. And they were waaay off.

    Another headlight/shock question...

I was having the same problem. Phillips screwdriver. Adjustment hole is directly under each headlight. There's a section in the manual for adjusting the headlights.

    Qwik Shade Delivery

:agree: I purchased the Qwik Shade along with a couple of face shields. Pricing was great and shipping very timely. BTW, when stretched over the seat/insrument area, the Qwik Shade really does wonders for Heat, Bird Dookie, and the various Lookie Loo's that pass by.

    SPEEDOMETER ERROR

I always thought the 2 numbers on the gauge were supposed to equal each other. i.e. - Speedometer equals the Thermometer. Winter sucks. Summer rocks!!!!! :roflblack:

Installed SCALA Q2 headset and they work great!

The Q2 is not the problem. I do not believe the iphone can 'stream' it's music output via bluetooth. You would have to use the MP3 cable supplied with the Q2 and use the headphone jack on the iphone and plug into the MP3 receptacle on the back of the Q2 base. Not sure how confused things would...

Installed SCALA Q2 headset and they work great!

:agree: Agreed. Phone is on strictly for 'emergency' (always on-call for aging parents:pray:). Driver to passenger communication is the main reason I bought mine. Not yet sure about a GPS. Usually print abbreviated directions when traveling through seldom-traveled areas for tank bag cover.
