There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The good is they fit in with the look of the Spyder mirrors,the bad is the cost $119. the indifferent does the cost justify the function? Most seem to think so.

The kewlmetal extensions are a must...at $119.00, it's money well-spent...if you have shoulders, you'll need the extensions....they'll fix your problem...just make sure you tighten them as they'll vibrate if not really secure...

$120 is fair, or you could make some yourself that would make the Spyder look crappy. These units look factory - no one even notices them being installed. You can see far better with them installed.:thumbup:

They are the same . I find overall money well spent, because you can see what is behind you now instead of looking at your hands and shoulders, however not thrilled with the fit. I think the extentions could line up with the mirror arms a litte bit better.:dontknow:

:agree: While the 'fit' is a little off (getting the billet aluminum milled to the angles required would have jacked the price even more), the added visibility is worth the money.

Bottom line: buy them, you'll love 'em...they make a HUGE difference...your mirrors will actually be functional!

No Magic can get the mirrors and he's working on a replacement light for the front to cover up the old mirror location. Right now I have a sportbike clearance light in it's place but it took a lot of work to get it to fit right. They are running lights and turn signals.
The mirrors are great and I must say even better than the mirror extensions just for the fact that they are higher and closer to you. There is no vibration and they are actually out pass the bars just a bit but they don't hit the windshield at full lock. They also have LED lights built into them.
I'm sure there will be a No Magic kit for this in the future. For now I'm the only one that has this setup and I kinda like it that way. :doorag:
Thanks for the info. I know i can't even use my mirrors at highway speeds due to the vibration and even if i could i'd have to move around to see something other than my shoulders LOL.

My mirrors are stable even at high speed but, although I wouldn't be without the extensions, the mirror is still a small mirror. I'm used to the side mirrors on my Durango which are perfect

Yes, the fit is quite a bit off, but it helps see around your shoulers/arms,etc. I also experience alot of vibration in the mirrors.
Lamonster's setup looks ideal, and if MM offers that mirror kit I will be
interested.

The extensions are a big improvement. When you get tired of looking at your arms and not being able to see behind you without leaning left or right (and never both sides at the same time) you'll appreciate them.
The downside of the stock mirrors is not so much their size as they are as big as any other stock MC mirror. The real problem is the distance from your eyeball to the mirror surface.
The long distance makes the mirror effectively smaller.
The mods that Lamont did by putting the mirrors on the handle bars is the BOMB! I don't think this will work with the stock bars but it puts the mirrors up close to your face and the same size mirror gives you about twice the rear view.
And you get a great view of what's behind you, not what jacket you're wearing!
