• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New fix for checking radiator fluid level

Old school solution for an old school issue. You need to think "Y" factor....let it go man, just back away from the old hand-held incandescent, and think mounted automatic LED. :roflblack:

New fix for checking radiator fluid level

Put a magnet switch on the trunk. Every time you open the trunk, the light comes on. It's LED, not like it's going to wear down the battery. Also keeps maintenance on the mind. Good idea Lamont. !! http://www.golinuxshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1892

No Magic 4" Riser Install problem

Whether you're using a ratchet or screwdriver with a driver tip, you can tap on the rachet/screwdriver as you put pressure to turn it. Acts like an impact wrench.

    New F1 Queen

I bought the F1 queen. I got it through my dealer, and got a good discount. It came with the normal dark laminar (moveable shield). I really didn't like it after testing. I called Marcel and had him make me a clear one, 2" taller. I removed all the old hardware, and heated up the base...

    BRP floor boards

Fresh air scoops in the side (upper) plastic, front nose, sides, etc...if it's 2010, I need to keep mine clean for the trade-in.

Differences in the 08 and 09 model

If you look at the top of the front suspension, they added an air deflector to the cowls.

Potential Buyer - Time to Stay Clear of a Spyder

I'll bump it once. Why is this thread still here?:dontknow:

    No longer a Spyder owner

What? This is like stopping by your X-wife's house and telling her about your new girlfriend. I still remember sticking $5K into my Softail trying make it look different, and run better than stock. Funny thing, the only person that could tell was me. Good luck with your new squeaze.

    Irony

Excellent!!!!:2thumbs: I've put the Spyder in 3 bike shows. At 2 of the shows, I had the opportunity to talk with the judges. They had no idea who made the bike, what the attributes were, or the difference between stock and modified. Each time I lost to a Goldwing trike with more lights...

    Excellent ride, good time

Went with friends to the annual Rumble on Noble street party in Anniston Alabama. Naturally, I had the only Spyder, and drew the crowd. I also met up with Harry, the photographer and editor of Full Throttle Magazine. Last year, he selected my bike for Bike of the Month, for October. I only had...

    Can't fill up!

I have the Corbin. 1st Install I probably didn't align it right and broke the pin right out of the fiberglass. I returned it to Corbin (through my dealership), and got my seat back within 3 weeks. The 2nd install I took a little more time, and aligned it correctly. When I need to open it, I...

    500bhp BMW V12-powered quad

That is one mean looking dog. In Alabama, and maybe nationally, a vehicle with four wheels must have passenger restraints, and an airbag. That's probably why we don't have quads here. And then we have this. (note to wheel count) Wonder where I go to get clarification.

    Wind Deflectors

Again, anybody that finds they work better (for them) sitting on a bench somewhere, I'd pay $50 plus shipping. I want the gas fumes :2thumbs:

    Trailering capability of the Spyder?

I have a Starlight trailer and I've packed about 200 lbs of gear in there. As stated above, I generally try to put 10% to 15% of the weight at the tongue. I have a Bushtec hitch. It can easily handle my full weight (190 lbs) without affecting the structure and mounting. I would never pull such a...

    S&S MOTOR

215 CI air cooler motor. I'll bet it runs hotter than Miss Muffet. I would think that sliding in any inline 4 cylinder (KAW 1300) would be easier.

    Purchasing a Spyder

I agree with the "run to the forum" impression left on sites such as these. I belong to several generic "riding" sites and the attitude is quite different. The generic sites generally cover rides, dealers, eats, drinks, and about all bikes and manufacturers. Also, the generic sites generally...
