New fix for checking radiator fluid level

Ron's over here changing his oil and putting on his new tire and while we had the panels off he decided to check his antifreeze coolant level. Even with the panels off and using a mag light it was still hard to see. That's when I got this idea. :doorag:

I had one of No Magics LED's and I put it behind the tank and then it was real easy to see where the fluid was. I'm sure Evan could tell us the best light to use for this, I just used what I had. :doorag:

All it needs is a plug on the end to put into the 12v outlet, package it up and call it the NMN FLIL ( fluid level indicating light) or the FLI LED

What a great idea. I have had trouble seeing the fluid level.

Lamonster shows using our Micro 18 series of light.

Although this will work it is a bit over kill for this application. Our Micro 9 series would work here for sure and is much less expensive.

For those of you wanting this option we could put together the items you need to make this work for you no problem.

Like a switch, fuse holder, 3M tape, Micro 9 and such.

The colored light makes the fluid much easier to see for sure! :thumbup:

I found that on our Spyder, if I have trouble reading the coolant level, it's because there is no coolant to see. Once I filled it to the full mark, it's very easy to see. But any kind of extra lighting in the area makes it even better.

Put a magnet switch on the trunk. Every time you open the trunk, the light comes on. It's LED, not like it's going to wear down the battery. Also keeps maintenance on the mind.

Old school solution for an old school issue. You need to think "Y" factor....let it go man, just back away from the old hand-held incandescent, and think mounted automatic LED.
