• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Wider front tires

The bolt pattern of the stock wheels is 3 on 3.537 inches. I don't remember the hub center size but the wheels are centered by the lugnuts, not the hub. I don't know the offset of the stock wheels but I think the backspacing is 4 1/4 inches but I'm not 100% sure. I'd had to measure them again.

    Wider front tires

How does the VSC system know there is a wider tire on the spyder? If the bike is made with certain tested configurations why isn't the lighting adequate? "I believe money could be better spent elsewhere...like on some NMN lights for better visibility" Why do you have to spend "additional...

    Wider front tires

Duh, I didn't think it was worth trying to explain. If you don't understand now, you never will, but for those of you who can relate, the handling is phenominal. The steering is so much mor precise and responsive. I've actually reduced the preload on the front springs. I think alot of the roll...

    Wider front tires

As quoted by Lamonster FACT People who don't mod will never understand people who do. People who don't want to go fast will never understand people who do. People who debate this kind of thing on messages boards will never change anyone else mind so why bother? Like the old saying goes...

Confessions of a former Rotella user

This is directly from the service manual. "Use BRP XP-S 5W-40 synthetic oil(P/N 293 600 039) or an equivalent motorcycle oil meeting the requirements for API service SL, SJ, SH, or SG classification. Always check the API service label on the oil container." and "NOTICE To avoid damaging the...

Makes it...

    Polished Stainless Exhaust pics!

I forget the exact size but I had a local shop flare the end and then I cut slots in it, like the stock exhaust has, to allow the band clamp to do it's job. I didn't use the stock gasket. I used ultra copper high temp silicon to seal the joint. I have almost 3,000 miles on it with no...

    Turbocharged Spyder?

If it weren't for people wanting to change things and wanting things different we wouldn't have the spyder to begn with! Thankyou to all of those who think out of the box.

    Turbocharged Spyder?

Amen Scotty! Let's not judge others. If you're happy with the way you're spyder runs that's great but don't judge me because I want to change mine. For the record, more horsepower for me is acceleration. I haven't had mine over 80 mph but the roads I ride on have hairpin turns and steep...

    k&n air filter

Like I said, K&N makes a filter they just don't know it. If you want to look at it as if the K&N wasn't made for the spyder, you're right in that the stock filter wasn't even made for the Spyder and the K&N is a replacement for it. The filter that is in the Spyder, Purolator A13192, was first...
