• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 UPDATE

1 question...how hard do you ride? A clutch failure could be due to a faulty component (my bet since they fixed it), abusing it "I ride it like I stole it" or wrong oil. As has been pointed out the clutch is a wear item and as such its service life will vary greatly depending on use. I just...

    91 octain fuel

Lets see.... Overall more energy is actually used to provide the same amount of work, it take materials that should used to feed human beings away causing that price to go up as well as adding to the hunger burden globally and it shortens the life of vehicles...meaning more resources and energy...

    My other hobby.

True enough but they take a dim view of having shootouts for practise. So the best a civilian can do is to become well versed in the weapons functions and capibilitys. Certainly better than buying a gun, loading it and throwing it the glove box or night stand till something goes bump in...

    My other hobby.

It has to do with muscle memory. If you do not know the weapon well it may be about as usefull as a wet loaf of bread if it is needed for real. Under stress you will perform WAY better if you have practised enough to make the mechanics second nature. It is far more than marksmanship, as...

    My other hobby.

If you really want to become a good shot with a auto pistol add a Ruger MKl, ll or lll 22 to your collection. You will be able to shoot a lot of rounds refining your skills with out breaking the bank. Cheap, reliable, very accurate & loads of fun. For centerfire autos a Sig Sauer 229 in...

Forgive me father for I have sinned

There is that issue. Kinda funny the Aprilla Millie, same motor I believe, manual calls for 15w-50. The Aprilla guys seem to be having good results using M1 15w-50 car oil in that motor :dontknow:. Its all magic!! Guess a wise guy would just run BRP oil till the warrenty is over and then think...

Forgive me father for I have sinned

I hadn't ridden the Spyder since Dec when the steering demon decided it would be funny to make himself know as I was rounding a corner on a two laner doing 65 with oncoming traffic. Interesting:shocked:....was glad to have read on here about the possibility of this as it made it easier to deal...

    Safety Card

Think of it as an anti theft device. Bugged me at first but as other have said put on your dome or gloves..whatever while she goes through her bit. Actually I kind of like it now, if I pull a bonehead and leave the key in only a Spyderlover can steal it:2thumbs: RAL

    Can-Am Hybrid Spyder

Maybe not, think outside the box a bit. Batteries need not be square....think tubular. With slight tupperware work they may be able to run them on both sides more centered fore to aft. You do not want all that weight in the nose. RAL

Need info on these two items...

I have the changer, it works but get some extra spoons to help (it can get frustrating) also be aware that it is quite easy to scar your wheels. I use it on my Ural wheels but do not think I will use it on the Spyder Mags. As far as mounting the unit, I bolted it to one end of a 2"x8"X8' and...

    Honda Trike

The Hell it won't! You are right that gently putzing around LIKELY no problem but that ain't good enough for my wife. Throw in an emergency stop or get surprised by decreasing radius downhill turn with a reverse crown thrown in to make it really special and your day will be ruined. Going from...

    Honda Trike

While trikes and hacks are not the death traps that many seem to believe, they are different animals than the Spyder. If you want to take the trip she should take a trike/sidecar course......I would be surprised if someone would rent a trike to someone without the proper training in this day and...

    Snow and Ice

Wrong bike Three wheels can do very well in the snow but it has to be the right three wheels. Used to ride my ol KZ 400 year round in Spokane when I was young enough to be bullet proof. The Ural is the solution for adverse conditions now that I am a bit older. That and moving to Florida so...

what kind of engine would you like ?

Why just one? Seems to me they would be wise to offer a longer stroke torquemonster for the rt guys, think Harley. For the RS the 998 Rotax is fine but there should be a 650 750 ish option for a commuter special. 50+ mpg @ 70mph would sale a lot of units now......just wait till the full impact...
