• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT-622 Trailer Towing Hints for a Novice

Get to a big empty parking lot and practice backing it up before you get caught in a tight spot. I have been backing trailers my whole life but the Spyder is a bit fiddly with a trailer on it, plus it's hard to look back with a helmet on.

    Negative Comments

If I had researched the forums first I would have never have bought my "problematic" 13RTS. We would have saved for another year and had the money for the Goldwing trike. After getting my issues resolved and getting a 14RTS things are looking better now. The 13 model year put a big "black eye"...

2014 RT-S limp mode, lost confidence in RT, home on truck. Check relays, fuses seated

I think for the most part most have had pretty good luck from the 14's considering the horrendous issues with the 13's. My 14 has been trouble free since new but I'm going to check my fuses and relays now. Thanks for the heads up!!

    Elka front shock installation

I suppose it could be done without removing the frunk but I'm Doc Riverside on this, it's a whole lot easier! The 14 models have different sides that come down a little lower then the 13 and prior models. It can be done but your working by feel as it would be hard to see anything.

    What Roads Prohibit Trailers

All tunnels prohibit propane appliances from operating. We have to turn off our propane refer in the camper when going through tunnels. Also the Dragons tail has signs that state no trailers, but they are for campers not motorcycle trailers.

    I would like..

I have found a way to make it quieter but not get rid of it. The "beeper" is part of the dash cluster and it has a outlet for the sound, just place a couple layers of electrical tape over the hole. It still works but not as loud or annoying. I never set the brake in the garage so I can push it...

THE SPYDER LEFT US STRANDED AGAIN

It's really hard to get that trust back in a machine that has let you down. If they can get a "direct" cause and fix it then ok, maybe. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

For Those Who Have Owned & Ridden Both........

I have done both a two wheeled Goldwing and a 13 998 Spyder and now a 14 1330 Spyder. I can tell you that BRP has got really close to a awesome touring bike with the RT 1330 Spyder. The only two areas that are still lacking are,.. the audio system (still sucks) and the seat comfort! Even with...

Another cracked windshield arm - 2014 RT Limited

They don't need to change the design just the material. Cast it in a stronger alloy or better yet stainless. I have seen past posts where some have had the fixed and it looks like a low grade aluminum casting. Looks like a job for JThornton to tackle he has awesome skills (and equipment) to make...

Another cracked windshield arm - 2014 RT Limited

Maybe when they have to start replacing under warranty they will come up with a stronger design. I know my windshield sure does bounce around a lot, I'm waiting for the day when it cracks or breaks.

    Nother problem with the 14??

Mine is an se6, and I was thinking that maybe the oil pressure has something to do with it, maybe a little slow to release the clutch? Well I feel better that I'm not alone with this issue.

    Nother problem with the 14??

This is starting to happen more often now.... starting the spyder either hot or cold does not matter, shifting into gear, engine stalls out like the clutch is not engaged. The bike tries to lurch forward and just stalls out as soon as you hit the shift button . It will restart and then be ok but...
