• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I recently purchased a new set of shocks for my 2014 Spyder RTL. I have both the 2013 and 2014 shop manuals and do not see much in there about what to remove to gain access to the top bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to remove anything not really needed.

No need to remove anything. Just hold the bolt head with a stubby 15 mm wrench and ratchet the nut off with a 15 mm socket. I ran mine up on car ramps then used a hydraulic jack to raise each side so that the tire just clears (which lets the shock spring fully extend) then work the unbolted shock down through the suspension and out.

When Trooper and Pitbull installed mine on my 2012 RT at Spyders in the Adirondacks they did not remove the frunk and it took them less than 20 minutes, each installing one side.. granted they have a pretty well developed learning curve

The best thing to do is remove the Frunk. It makes the job a whole lot easier.

I suppose it could be done without removing the frunk but I'm Doc Riverside on this, it's a whole lot easier! The 14 models have different sides that come down a little lower then the 13 and prior models. It can be done but your working by feel as it would be hard to see anything.
