• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Helmets

:lecturef_smilie: You should be able to fit a full face helmet in the right hand saddle bag - depending on how large the helmet is and whether there is a comm system sticking out of it. Check out KewlMetal (site sponsor), they have helmet locks that are installed on the ends of the hand grips...

Spyder RT cuts off while traveling and at stop lights .

I have a 2011 RT-S and had experienced stalling issues when I first got her - only during stops, never while traveling. It took the dealer a few tries, but they eventually got it fixed after the 3,000 mile service. They replaced the spark plugs and performed campaign# 2012-4 (Updated Throttle...

Proper Way To Load Your Frunk

The frunk makes a good ice chest if you remove the liner - you will find a drain plug at the bottom. :2thumbs:

If you're interested in reflective striping, check out these sites: http://www.streetglo.net/reflective.tape/ http://www.reflectivedecals.com/stripes.htm I've purchased some reflective decals for one of my helmets from Streetglo and was very pleased with the quality. I just bought a new...

    Seat air shock

I never thought about changing out the seat strut, D'oh! Is this the strut you purchased?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-35-Mid-Columbia-Gas-Strut-Spring-Shock-Camper-Top-Cover-Door-Lift-Prop-Rod-/370771537409?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5653b4ae01

    New J&M Integration System

Ah, gotcha. The closest thing they have is the wireless helmet Bluetooth set. The Can Am setup must be proprietary. Sure would be nice to have another alternative to the astronomical price that Can Am charges.

    New J&M Integration System

Who are you referring to, J & M? If so, then they do have their own CB setup.

    New J&M Integration System

And that's exactly why I am interested in it - I don't have the GPS kit installed. Although, I'm wondering if it would be cheaper - or even, possible - for me to install the GPS harness and connect to my Garmin Nuvi 765, which is bluetooth enabled.

    New J&M Integration System

Update?? Hey Steve, Did you ever pull the trigger on this setup? While looking at new helmets on J&M's website, I saw this bluetooth setup and wondered if anyone had installed it, and if it works well. Would appreciate anyone's input if they have it installed. -Anita

How to use other brands of trailer with RT?

Aluma Trailer For Sale Bengaluvr, I have an Aluma Trailer for sale. The ad seems to have dropped from the 4-Sale Forum, but I'm happy to send you pics and info via email if you'd like to take a look. I live in the Sacramento area, so I'm not far from you. Send me a PM with your email address...

    Pakit Rak

I have a Pakit Rak and absolutely love it. You can see pics of it on my RT here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?41927-Extra-Storage-for-RT&highlight=Pakit You will need to have a trailer hitch on the RT since the adaptor is designed for it. I am very fortunate to live...

    High pitched noise when shifting

I hear the same 'tone' when shifting; although I've not heard it without my helmet on. I spoke to my dealer about it last year when I started hearing it, but they weren't able to figure out what it was and it's not annoying enough to push to issue with them, so I live with it - for now. I've...

    License Plate Helmet Locks

I've also thought about using a set of handcuffs. You can then secure the helmet just about anywhere. Not to mention any would-be thieves might be dissuaded by the thought of a cop owning the helmet they're thinking about stealing. ;)

    License Plate Helmet Locks

I normally lock my helmet in the frunk, but when it's full, I lock it to the bar on my Utopia backrest with this lock: I also use a helmet lock extension to make it easier to lock and unlock the helmet since it's a bit tight, but that's just my own preference. I store the lock and extensions...

    Image editing

I like either color combo. A word of caution if you're thinking about doing this with vinyl wrap - the RT has a lot of curves and the vinyl can be 'challenging' to work with. If you're a patient person, you can do it easily by taking your time and following Pete's instructions. I'm a...

    Start a New Rumor Here

Not to mention the fact that the word 'Calendar' is incorrectly spelled. Although, we have been witnesses to BRP mis-spelled words in the past. Remember the first ad for the Sypder Owners Event? nojoke :roflblack:

    Headset question

If you're referring to the BRP CB, then no-can-do. My understanding is there is no bluetooth adaptor that will fit the CB headset connector on the RT. If you find one, let us know - I'm sure there are many of us who would love to get our hands on something like that.

    Headset question

On the BRP CB/comm, if you don't want the music to come thru the helmet speakers, you can set it to pipe thru the external speakers only, helmet only, or both. The CB/comm will only come thru via the helmet speakers. When you're listening to music (radio or iPod), and someone talks to you thru...
