• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

Hey lets look at the bright side of what you point out. These people you have singled out as those who have had problems that have been fixed are spyder lovers who have actually had problems (as you say) and yet still remain very positive about BRP and the spyder. Not a bad attitude if you ask...

    Yellow Spyder Fire

Harsh, nope just a reality of the forum of late. Those who try to push for a focus on the positive and trying to focus on positive fact based solutions tend to be a target of those who believe that that in some way infringes on their right to voice their negative opinions and complaints about...

    Yellow Spyder Fire

I have to agree with you when that flury of information is based on FACTS. Unfortunately, of late, much, not all but quite a bit of the "facts" in recent posts are in reality just opinions and speculation!! While everybody is truly entitled to their opinions, opinions do not resolve problems...

    Scotty...winter storage tire pressure?

Scotty do you recommend starting the bike every couple of weeks. I basically put my bike up on stands, do the oil change, fog the throttleboddy and tailpipe as well as put fuel stabilizer in the full tank of gas. Is this all necessary if you plan on starting it every couple of weeks ? Oh yea I...

    Yellow Spyder Fire

MJW930 with my experience in the fire service as well and having been part of many fire cause investigations sometimes the cause of the fire is never known. Unfortunately the determination of the cause of the fire is at the mercy of the evidence left by the fire and as we all know sometimes...

Fuel Line Chafing on my Spyder

My 2008 SE5 built in June of 2008 has the split loom on it so I would guess that BRP figured out relatively early that the rubbing could be a problem.

    Family Laundry

I would be more then willing to pay some money for a membership because spyderlovers IS worth it. How about paying members/platinum members actually get to post whereas all other can just read postings. Just a thought

Let me just say I'm not happy either

Hey Lamonster I truly feel your frustration and can empathize with you. I also know that I have been caught up in some of the rhetoric surrounding the steering problem and have made a few posts that in hindsight may have only stirred the pot some more which has done nothing but add to your...

DPS Problems, We Can No Longer Ignore "The Elephant In The Living Room"

Now while I can understand peoples concern about the DPS problem and in no way am dismissing it as just a few people with a minor problem and do accept that it is a problem that has the potential for serious and in some cases catastrophic ramifications I do have just one question. How many...

    Spyder Loyalty

You know if you had just relayed what had happened then that would be fine but to then imply by your choice of words that it will happen to everybody "...when it happens to you.." is to fear monger. You are mistaken in that I do want to hear all about problems and or challenges (you choose the...

    Spyder Loyalty

This is exactly the fear mongering that seems to have flooded the internet of late. And I quote "...if and when it happens to you..." With all due respect what makes you so sure that a systemic problem with the spyder steering is going to ensue that I too will eventually have a problem with my...

3/4 Helmet and cold weather riding

Just switched from an Icon full face to a 3/4 helmet (Scorpian EXO 700 Transformer) and was wondering what people who use 3/4 helmets use for cold weather riding to minimize the "wind burn" from the cold air. I do have a balaclava for extremely cold days but this is more useful to stay warm and...

    Jackets: Cold weather/winter ones

Hey Donk I absolutely love it. It is very comfortable to wear. My one and only complaint is that the zippers on the sleeves (upper arm) sometimes get caught in the mesh venting material if you are not carefull with the zippers. Other then that the jacket fits great, adjusts well and vents well...

    Jackets: Cold weather/winter ones

62k miles.... now you see it and.... now you don't

Magicman I too agree that this is a free world and we are all entitled to our own opinions and have the freedom to voice those opinions so I know you are the type of person who can respect that my opinion may be different then yours. You stated "If you don't like that I asked a question about...
