• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Slingmods floorboard lighting

Got 'em, Love 'em. Really light up at night and give you some great side visibility in the daytime. Take your time installing and make sure you really clean the curvy area of floor boards before sticking the tubes on. 2 thumbs up from me. :2thumbs:

    Front box USB

That's strange....... I have both my TomTom GPS and my GoPro camera powered out of my glove box. And I used a USB splitter also in there which should have weakened the power even more. I've only put about 100 miles on her since, (terrible weather) but have not encountered any problems so far...

Anybody using Slingmods Front chin lightbar?

I used this one. The bracket fits perfectly in the opening and the screw holes line up. In either case you will have to splice into the OEM harness behind opening. Pretty easy. I highly recommend you install a switch because you will get a lot of vehicles flashing their lights at you. I used...

    Phone mount options

Lamonster top cuff with a Ram x-grip phone holder works excellent for my oversized Iphone XR. I've used them forever and can vouch they really hold. Even comes with a rubber stretch safety holder, which I think is a bit overkill. But if I had your experience, I'd probably use it. X -mounts come...

2018 RT vs 2021 RT BRP Connect - improved any?

No difference. They need to improve their GPS system mainly to make it larger. These old eyes can't read something that small anymore. A GPS system (Garmin or TomTom) mounted on the bars works so much better for most of us. And let's not even mention the complicated audio/communication...

    Anyone remember "Knight Rider"?

Troop that's not quite the one I have. Mine was specifically designed for the 2020+ RT & RTL Spyders. The one for the F3 has different installation instructions and hardware. TricLED is now making them for our model. Mine was the first shipped last month, I had been waiting patiently for them to...

    Anyone remember "Knight Rider"?

Bill, I only use it when parked. It is a direct feed from the battery with a remote control I keep in my pocket. Sometimes I'll sit on a bench and flick it on when people are walking by. Some people thought it had some kind of security device installed. Great conversation starter.

    Anyone remember "Knight Rider"?

Blue Belle's latest Farkle. (Kinda long video, wanted to show most of the options, pardon the shaky old hands )

Picked up my new 2021 Spyder RT SE6, in 'Petrol Metallic' today!

Congrats on the new Spyder (in the fastest color BRP makes). Let the Farkling begin. :2thumbs:

Brand new Spyder RT rider needs an answer!

Here in South Carolicki ya don't even need a motorcycle license to "ride" one of these thangs. Hell, ya don't hafta register a trailer or even have tail lights on them. :dontknow: Sure was different North of the Mason/Dixon.

Brand new Spyder RT rider needs an answer!

Ditto. You drive something with a steering wheel and ride something with handlebars. A Spyder is a reverse Trike.......easier to call it a "Spyder"

What mirror vibration fix works the best?

Apparently BRP doesn't test ride their Spyders before releasing them. Everyone I've talked to had the problem. My 2021 had the shakes and I also had to use the Lamonster fix. The fix works as advertised......no more shakes. To me, this appears to be a safety issue and BRP should do a recall fix...

The 2020 RT Limited was delivered, let the mods begin.

I'm afraid to make out a list of all I've bought for "Blue Belle" since I purchased her in Nov. I'd be afraid "She who must be obeyed" might be looking over my shoulder. :lecturef_smilie: That could cause some unrest in Paradise. :chill:

2020 RT Limited swirls in the paint

I noticed on my 21 RTL that the Tupperware shows hairline scratches when the sun hits it just right. Really noticeable on the black top case. The finish needs a couple more layers of clear coat before it leaves the factory. Tried using Canuba wax, no luck. I will try some McGuires swirl remover...

    Where is the temperature sensor?

Between the heat these spyders produce and the sun, you're gonna have a hard time finding a spot to mount the sensor for an accurate air temp reading. On my 2018 I mounted a tiny sensor under one of my mirrors, out of the sunshine, but not quite beyond the reach of the spyders heat. Sitting at a...
