• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Slingmods floorboard lighting

Anyone bought them? If so, what do you think?

Got 'em, Love 'em. Really light up at night and give you some great side visibility in the daytime. Take your time installing and make sure you really clean the curvy area of floor boards before sticking the tubes on. 2 thumbs up from me. :2thumbs:

Sweet! Thanks. I really like the look and was trying to decide between aftermarket and the OEM version. Then, I finally had confirmation that OEM doesn't include the amber turn indicators. So, aftermarket it is. Do you need any tools other than the T30 and something to secure the wiring?

Got mine from Slingmods. Instructions included. They hook up to the OEM fender light harness. Splitter is included with the lights. No special tools needed. I used dielectric grease and taped all the connecting points to keep them waterproof. Not a hard install. On a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 3.

I have a set on my S2S. I like them, but the white light is visible from the rear of the spyder. This is no good in NY state. I have been trying to figure out how to make them amber all the time. The strip is only 2 wires(+ and -), yet they are 2 colors. I havent figured out how they do that yet. Maybe by reversing polarity? They seem pretty durable and stick VERY well to the floorboards. The white light is not very visible during the day as you can see in my signature picture.

That's really interesting. I should probably make sure I don't get a ticket if I install them on mine, but I've seen so many obnoxious vehicle lighting in Ga, that I really don't care. Besides, I think additional visibility increases my safety(even if that is just perceived by me). So, If do get a citation for them, it's worth it to me lol.

If you want a steady amber with no turn signals I would advise you to call Reggie at TricLED and ask him what you need to do for that. I would guess you would need to hook one to ground and the other to constant power but please DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT ASKING TRICLED.
