• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Service time in NM

IMHO You do need to have the brake and clutch fluid as well as the coolant replaced when you do the oil and filter change. You probably do not have enough miles to need a valve clearance check unless you are having any sort of excessive valve train noise (unlikely). I personally would not...

    Left fender lights stopped working

Step 2 You know that the wiring on the light side is fine since you have applied 12 volts to that side and the lights come on. Now you need to put a meter on the other side of the connection and see if you have 12 volts at the connector. If you do; the connector itself is either defective or...

    hesitation

Nanny is my guess The Nanny is probably just curbing your throttle hand by retarding the ignition until she decides it's "safe" to give it that much gas.

    Thanks to SYD3R aka Dan

Kudos Thanks for the real world data. Saw the referenced post when it went up but couldn't fathom how a couple of strips around an already existing vent would make much difference. I exist in similar weather conditions here in panhandle of Florida. I guess some sort of low...

    Just a thought

Old school solution Many of us long ago installed emergency release mechanisms for our trunks and often keep the spare key in the trunk. A piece of stainless wire or fishing leader is cheaper than a spare key. I have a home made IPS so I hardly ever remove my key. My wife carries the spare...

    Base layer

base layer I wear the same base layer summer and winter. A synthetic fiber or silk long underwear that wicks very well. Nothing keeps you cooler than a skin layer that wicks over a mesh suit with armor. The same base layer allows you to stay warm in the winter with out getting wet. Several...

    Turn Signal ?

MY money Is on the switch. I do not believe there is a separate fuse for flasher and turn signals, but check that owners manual in your frunk to be sure. Since you have LED's other things could be going on: I'm not familiar with the LED flasher/turn signal set up. Good Luck

    Check Engine

Dealer can see code history not just active codes but you can't Other than a trip to the dealer to see what caused the check engine fault. A loose gas cap or loose or corrosion on battery terminals can cause a check engine light to come on. Good Luck on diagnosis and have a safe trip to...

How many of Spyder Riders still ride motorcycles?

Own and Ride Both Wife and I have been riding together for about 45 years. The Spyder came into our life because my wife needed a new hip and couldn't get on and off a 2 wheeler. It was a way for us to keep out faces in the wind and out of the cage. A couple years after her hip replacement...

    Ticking

Hope this helps First I will say that many people refer to the sound(s) an engine makes when it is cooling down as "ticking" and that is normal. For a moment I'll assume that what you are referring to is different. Ticking sounds often come from the valve train. The most likely causes are a...

    Help - Brake issue - caliper semi-closed

another thought The piston can stick if there is a build up of brake dust. If this happens it is self reinforcing causing even more dust because of the stuck piston. Be sure to clean the caliper well, removing as much dust as possible. That could solve your issue of the sticking piston in...
