• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Embarrassing confessions about those of you I see at Spyderfest

Hubby and I have the same problem. We are both horrible remembering people's names. We'll look at each other and ask if either one of us remember that person(s) name. Nope, not a clue. We do the same thing by seeing if we can mete out any significant info from the conversation. I am at awe...

Spyder shuts off without a reason

Just got my sts home about a week ago. Haven't been able to put many miles on her but I'm trying. My husband took it for a short ride to get lunch and the bike shut down twice on him while at traffic light. All would be fine,he would go to take off and the bike just shut down, like you hit the...

    Picked up my new sts

The weather finally cleared up about 5pm on sunday. Figures we had plans already, so no ride then. Hopefully this weekend. It did give hubby time to set the bike up with the radio, battery tender, cupholder, radio, etc. So it did not go to waste. Thanks for all the well wishes.

    Picked up my new sts

Picked up my new sts yesterday. It's so pretty. Hubby spent the day installing the radio and Bluetooth. Sounds great. It's going to rain this weekend and of course be nasty, so I can't ride. I just love seeing it in the garage. Sad to see my gs go,she always treated me well, but i need to move...

    Bike Week 2013 Daytona Beach

Living in the heart of Bike week it's always fun to see and hear the riders come in for the events. It first begins as a trickle, then a roar. The roar is constant, except on really cold nights, no one is out. Then on Friday and Saturday, the noise level skyrockets. Sunday it's so very quiet...

    Can this be true?

It's a wolf spider, that much is true,as for it getting that big, not a chance. Nice photo shop though. We have those come onto our porch whenever its warm. Have to be careful before squishing them that they don't have babies on their backs, that's how they carry the hatchlings, because the...

    tank bag?

hmm I might try that. Great suggestion. It's just so easy to put my sunglasses, gloves, etc in the tank bag without open in up the frunk. Half the time I forget something as soon as I get on the bike and already started. It's usually just glasses, or something in the tank bag. I'll have to...

    tank bag?

I put the spyder tank bag on my '08 gs and want to do the same to my new STS. I like having a place to put sunglasses, gloves, etc without having to go into the frunk. I know the tank bag for the '08 won't fit, any suggestions or ideas that anyone else has done? Joyce

    It's all his fault

They will be picking up the spyder at another dealer on Tuesday. I should be getting it on friday, work seems to always get in the way. I can't wait. I am amazed at the advancements made from my 08 to the STS. I didn't mean to make hubby feel guilty, I was more than happy on my '08, but he...

Tell your story. What was the moment you knew you had to have a Spyder?

I had been seeing pictures and a few commercials about the spyder and was intrigued. I was on 2 wheels, but just wasn't comfortable. Hubby was picking up his new bike in St Augustine and they happened to have a test ride that weekend. It was cold and windy and I was just ready to say forget...

    It's all his fault

Everytime I test ride a spyder I get it. He should/t have let me test ride the new STS and I wouldn't have known what I was missing. So I just put a deposit on metallic silver sts. I would have been fine on my '08. Bare bones as it was. But then I drove the STS and it was over. That...

How long have you owned your Spyder and mileage??????

Picked my spyder up in Feb 2008 I have about 8000 miles on it. Would love to ride whenever I can, but it's just way to darn hot right now. Florida has a habit of not putting any trees for shade at gas stations etc to cool off. Found that out the hard way coming back from Georgia last year in...

Where are your from? Maybe some of us could meet up for a Ladies ride!

I live in Florida, right outside of daytona beach, I've had my spyder for about 2 years. Drove to Georgia with it 2 times, hubby and I trailered our bike to Spyderfest this year. Good thing we did as the traveling weather was very wet. Huby rides 2 wheels,I ride the spyder. Would love to do...

What do you carry in your trunk?

I end up carrying all the above, plus the tool kit, tire repair kit, first aid kit, bungees, etc. I have more room than hubby does on his bike, so I just end up carrying the essentials. He does carry the cooler and his tool kit etc. I also carry a spare key to his bike as he carries a spare...

Ok I had my husband on the back of my bike 2 times. "I" don't like him there. I feel cramped, and he's not a big guy and I am certainly a small woman, but I'm used to being on my bike alone. So when we have to take 1 bike, i ride pillion. No biggie. We usually will take 2 bikes unless I know...
