• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

tank bag?

I put the spyder tank bag on my '08 gs and want to do the same to my new STS. I like having a place to put sunglasses, gloves, etc without having to go into the frunk. I know the tank bag for the '08 won't fit, any suggestions or ideas that anyone else has done?

If you epoxy some large metal washers under the panels in the right spots, you could probably use any magnetic tank bag on the market. Also, I wonder if the Nelson Rigg bag for the RS would fit?

hmm I might try that. Great suggestion. It's just so easy to put my sunglasses, gloves, etc in the tank bag without open in up the frunk. Half the time I forget something as soon as I get on the bike and already started. It's usually just glasses, or something in the tank bag. I'll have to look around. Guess I should wait for the bike to be home to make sure it will work.

Thanks again,
Joyce

There's a number of small bags with straps I'm sure I can adapt, I just need to get the bike and open up the Tupperware to see what I can fabricate. The metal under the plastic is a great idea, thanks.

I'm not sure if this will will work on the new ST, but I duct taped four large tank bag magnets on the underside of the Y-panel on my 2008 GS in specific areas to hold this magnetic tank bag from Cortech in place. The Magnets from both sides made for a very secure fit. It is the new Super 2.0 12 liter tank bag. You can get this in a smaller 8 liter tank bag as well, if you prefer the smaller size. I went with the 12 liter because It had an eye glass pouch and extra space more items. You can also get these in a strap mount if you would rather not use magnetic.
