• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Our 6x12 enclosed trailer set up for our Can Am Spyder S2S

Our 6x12 enclosed trailer setup and road trip to BajaRon’s is finally dialed in.
After completely overthinking every single step of this process, we’re now at a point where everything is set up and, most importantly, we’re both comfortable with it.

Here’s where we landed:
  • Tongue weight at 425 lbs, 13% of loaded trailer @ 3300 lbs
  • Trailer weight under the RV’s limits
  • Etrack Wheel chocks in the front to prevent the wheels from turning (Clearance is tight)
  • Front tie-downs to the shock eyelets (Thanks Baja Ron)
  • Side tie-downs to the passenger footrest hole eyelets
  • Rear tie-down to the floor
Had to move the cables that help the door go up out by 1” to give us the clearance needed.

We also installed a wireless camera inside the trailer so that we can keep an eye on everything while traveling. We are guessing at least 7-10k miles.

We’ll be heading East from Arizona in our little RV, pulling the 6x12 trailer across to the East Coast, with a stop at BajaRon’s and plenty of rides along the way.

Looking forward to the Tail of the Dragon!

For anyone who is looking to make a 6x12 trailer work, here are some pictures.

Looks like you are good to go!
Only 1 other thing, make sure you stop and reset your trailer clock at each time zone you cross!
Safe travels.

You have done a great job on that trailer setup!!! There's no doubt in my mind that you could flip it upside down and the bike would still be hooked down to the deck!!! Good job! 🙃 I can tell you that you are going to LOVE the riding in that area, and you're going to know your bike a lot better than you know it now!! Ron and all of the guy's and gal's at the shop are the best!! Have fun, and keep it between the ditches.

Thank you very much, we have been stalling on the mileage so Baja Rons can install his shocks and give her the first service. I am so looking forward to the riding in the East, Arizona is great, but nothing like mountain roads to get to know our Spyder.

What make is the trailer? Single or tandem axles?
Single axle trailer, 6x12 V Nose, previous owner upgraded the axle to have brakes. It’s a 2019 Look trailer.
With all the upgrades shown here done inside, it increased the dry weight to 2050.

Just out of curiosity, what RV are you towing the trailer with?
We have a 2019 Minnie Winnie 22R. We wanted the smallest we could do.

Put D rated Goodyear Endurance trailer tires on it. The tires are going to get a work out, and are the achilles heel of going long distances with small trailers. Get an infrared heat gun and shoot the tires and hubs at every stop. Keep you speed max 65 MPH.

That is the only trailer tire I will run. Purchase the tire extended warranty also.

Thank you for the advice, we put a new set of tires on it before we brought it home. Unsure of the brand.

We use a TPMS that we can monitor RV tires and trailer tires that shows temperature and air pressure. I will add the inferred heat gun to check when we stop. Max speed I travel is usually 60-62mph. Again thanks for advice

This went back and forth AZ to WA several times at 3300 for the trailer and KRX1000 SxS. Sum days were 500 miles. That gives the equipment a good workout. There are a lot of ST tires made with only 2 or 3 brands worth anything.

Trikes also ride on the trailer at a much lower load. The 2550lb KRX was sold in December, so the trailer gets relocated to Western Washington this spring empty except for the storage box.

It will be used to take the newest Spyder in for the transmission output shaft recall mid June (my lady friend will not be around then to follow me to dealer 45 miles away to drop it off and pick it up). And we will be trailering the new Spyder to Eastern Washington once in a while for extended stays to ride with inlaws in that part of the state.
