• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where has everyone mounted their trailer plug?

In the final stages of installing a Bushtec hitch. Wiring the isolator when smooth, and now the big dilema....where to mount the bike side recepticle for the trailer plug? Replace the license plate light and use that area? Hate to mount under the hitch as the road debris will beat the hell...

    New Product Testers Wanted

You can add my name to your product testors list. I find myself fabbing that which does not exist yet when it comes toe bikes. Like a stereo mount for a marine stereo on the Spyder. I ride most of the year as long as it is not snowing, or raingin when it is time to go to work, and then Im out...

    BRP passenger peg extentions

Hey Lamont - question for you as I am a little confused and a lot interested in these passenger extension brackets. Is BRP actually planning to produce/sell these? And who is "Tom"? Does he currently produce/sell one similar or is this his design? Eitherway, I am very interested to learn how...

    must be a brp thing

Yes this is what happens when you have a dry sump engine ( no oil pan) and emission hoses drawing crankcase gases and oil mist into the intake system. Once the airstream hits an area of low pressure ( low verlocity vaccum chamber) ie the airbox, the oil particles can drop and collect on the...

Maybe I won't be changing my brakes after 25K+

Hey Lamont - I am looking into buying a "Bunkhouse" brand camping trailer to pull behind the Spyder. What should I limit total towed weight to? Tongue weight? Thanks in advance - Kevin in Southern IL

Ran into kirk on yellow spyder from Chicago

well since I didn't read the manual ( yeah I'm a guy ) and to save me from digging it out, go ahead and tell us/me why you are not supposed to top it off - a habit I have been doing, without any problem up until this thread

    Advice for son's bike

Coming from a former instructor, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Most importantl;y, is having him take a MSF course. Then, no matter his protests, he really needs to learn the fundamentals of actually riding on the street. I put my son on a Buell Blast ( single 500cc) for the...

    Bypassed Spyders...have any links?

OK here is the deal.....if you can find a repair tech willin gto share the code, the VSS CAN be disabled! I like having it- I dont see it as a limiting feature for me, but for those who do....there is a lockout/disable code - I just don't know what it is.

Can Am Spyder of Kimi Räikkönen (Formula 1 World Champion)

Nice paint, but whats with the lack of fenders? Just rode my through several long areas of melting snow - you know, the water on the road that is flowing across at a depth of 1/8 inch - yeah.....glad I had fenders on, or I would have been soaked. Oh that's right, I ryde, not trailer my Spyder. LOL

Be thankful if you have a good Spyder Dealer

Maybe it is time to start a campaign to show BRP that the dealers are failing in the responsibilities to both the company and the consumer. You think this lack of customer service would be acceptable for Honda or Harley Davidson? I think freekin not! I am fortunate on two counts, a superb...
