• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was wondering how hard it would be to have :spyder2:SPYDER OWNERS GROUP or CLUB, like the Harley guys do with HOG, anyone think there would be enough interest, :chat:or is it still too new.

I think there would be enough interest. I know I am. Just need to get it started and get BRP support.

I'm sure BRP will be working on that once there is alot of units out there it's a no brainer for them I have been a charter life member since the Inception in 1984 and will say they have put millions of dollars into it the 10th anniversary the 2 birthday cakes in Millawke were on 2 45' tractor trailers hauled in to the party what a site and after riding up to Valcourt seeing what a susses it was can't see them not thinkin about it :ani29:

Doesn't Spyderlovers count? We have our own patch, shirts and now hats. LOL :2thumbs::clap::2thumbs:

We are getting a bit off Spyders>>>>

It also means "Special Operations Group"
>>>>
but despite what many tell you I am pretty sure the Air Force is the only US MILITARY service to have a true Special Operations Group by name, actually two I believe. The OTHER Special Operations Group was a division of the CIA that often used the assistance of various service units around the world.

Kalavera hit it on the head with "Studies and Observations Group" as that is what I was referring to. Even during NAM many thought it did mean Special Operations Group as their actual existence, make-up, and mission was classified and few knew the whole story. Further confusion came from the nature of the system and the various intelligence organizations involved.

Lots of stories of their exploits are out there, from ceremonial banquets of Long Pork to huge artillery stolen and mounted on Nasties for midnight raids on Soviet ships up north. As some of the true missions are finally unclassified we will probably find the truth even stranger and more impressive.

Anyway, I doubt that some people would look with favor on using that acronym for a group of civilian riders without regard to the special nature of our ride.

What ever

Group meeting, club. From what i'm reading here not to many could get there. Over 80% would be on the road side, Busted. Broken down again. Come on get real. It's up to BRP . They have to fix these problems first. Then just maybe we can ride in confidence of getting there safely.:chat: :yikes:

How about - SO!? Said with pursed lips and broken wrist

Spyder Owners :spyder2:

:D Just kidding.......back to being PC.

by pratically any definition we are already a "Study & Obs Grp". Why would anyone want to support what we are already doing for nada, except the pure joy of riding and helping our fellow peeps, but I think it would be very nice to have a "National/International Spyder Organization". :D

..then there is SOGI: Spyder Owners Group International....

But the one I like is WOW ..... World of Wye's..:spyder:

Wye has two meanings: the letter "Y" and anything shaped like the letter "Y"... good crossword puzzle word, too. Not at all sure what the word would translate from another language :cus:

(all that figuring and no coffee yet this morning)
