• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    iPhone 5s

I just upgraded to a iphone 5s from a 4s, actually my daughter gave it to me as she was getting a new iphone 6. Now my problem. My 4s would connect nicely to the ipod integration cable in the trunk of my 2011 RTs. Is there a connector/cable available that will allow me to do this with the 5s...

Mounting a Stebel Nautilus Air Horn on the 2013 RT Limited

horn mounting I first mounted mine in the upper left hand side behind the frunk. I also have fog lights and the sound of the horn was too muted. I then removed the frunk and mounted the horn in the lower left opening on the frunk that directs air to the oil cooler. Now the sound is great. I...

    spyder to car communications

car to spyder That is what I am looking for. The newer Scala half helmet has a 3.5mm port. Just don't know if it supports a small speaker. Even if the communication is one way that would work. Cell coverage is spotty or non-existent in some areas. Range of Scala could be a problem but on...

    spyder to car communications

My wife will be driving our car and I will drive the spyder from Mn to Ca this fall. We have Scala rider helmet to helmet communications when we are both on the spyder but I was wondering if there is another option for when she is driving the car. Her wearing the helmet while driving was a...

    Oil leak sensor body

The past few months I have noticed oil drops on the floor under the spyder. Took a 2 day 600 mile ride and parked it. After it sitting for 3 weeks while I toured Europe on a rental spyder I came back to a large puddle. Only took about 100 ml oil to bring oil up to middle of dip stick. The...

    Gas milage on a 14RT

2014 RT limited mileage Rented the 2014 RT in Europe. Kept tabs of the fuel usage. Over 4000 Km I averaged 17 km/ liter. High was 22 km/ liter with a low of 14 km/ liter. Fuel prices there were about $8.00/ gallon. I'll let you do the math but happily in the high 30's mpg.

Strong gas smell as Spyder sits in garage even with recall gas cap

Cure for gas smell 2011 RTs. Always had boiling gas and the gas smell after a ryde. Last winter I installed JT's air cleaner system and that solved the problem. I believe the residual heat trapped under the TW caused the problem. The air cleaner replacement was not difficult just time...

Engine Limp home, then shuts off

rough running It sounds to me like the small vacuum lines to the TB's are leaking. Might want to check that out. They are on the left side and all the TW there needs to be removed to get to them. Easy to replace with stock tubing from auto parts store. Good luck

    Parking

parallel park I found out that backing in leaves extra space for another bike or spyder when traveling in a group. Alone I always park the spyder parallel taking up most of the marked space. Otherwise someone tries to squeeze into the remaining space finds that they cannot do it and then...

    Adjustable Side Wind Deflectors

adjustable air deflectors. Put them on my 2011 RTs. Seemed to help move air around the leg area and helped with cooling the tupperware in that area. Then I installed JTs air filter and the adjustable vents perform a different function. The two black vents under the mirrors now allow large...

    BajaRon Sway Bar

Foolish question I have Ron's sway bar and feel the ride improvement is well worth the small price. But, why does BRP not see the improvement in handling and ride and do it on the bikes from the factory ? Not trying to cut Ron out of the market but his bar makes a good product so much better...

What did I get myself into?

Enjoy the ryde Just returned from a 4329 Km ryde in Europe on a rental 2014 RT Limited. Bike performed flawlessly. Averaged about 18 Km to the liter. Gas there is very expensive, around $8.00 per gallon, rough translation. The spyders were a hit all over Switzerland, Germany, Austria...

    The "Dragon" is dead

blocking air vents I installed JT filter and heat problems disappeared. Now I find that the air vents under the mirrors really do their job. The residual heat from the engine while riding slowly or stopped in traffic pours out the vents. Added adjustable air deflectors and am quite happy...

Febail and I pick up the spyders tomorrow morning. Arrived Zurich airport but luggage did not. Hope UA finds it soon. All ryding gear in it. Have helmet but little else. Heading for hotel now in Baden and some sleep then off to see the sights. If my gear gets here tomorrow will head to meet up...
