• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas milage on a 14RT

I am getting...................................................................... Wait for it......................................................................................... 39.5 mpg and I use mid grade gas. Also I have 709 miles on my 14RT-SE6. Deanna777

I got 40 on a mostly downhill, wind at my back, 60 mph leg of my trip. It certainly is possible if you keep your speed down and don't have strong cross or head winds.

2014 RT limited mileage

Rented the 2014 RT in Europe. Kept tabs of the fuel usage. Over 4000 Km I averaged 17 km/ liter. High was 22 km/ liter with a low of 14 km/ liter. Fuel prices there were about $8.00/ gallon. I'll let you do the math but happily in the high 30's mpg.

Great news..!

glad your there so early in the piece..most are getting the 40 at some point.:clap:

35-36 mpg on my 2014 RT-Limited

Conditions for my 35-36 mpg on 2014 RT-Limited:
  • Mileage compiled from 605 to 1,275 miles
  • Strictly premium gas (BP, Shell, Mobil)
  • One occupant on Spyder
  • 2/3 of miles at 2-lane speeds in Michigan (57-58 mph). Remaining 1/3 of miles at x-way 65-70mph.
  • I use cruise whenever possible
  • 80% ECO mode
  • Average driving conditions & virtually no lead foot
  • No long trips. 15-20 miles each way between stops

Lastly, no gas smell & no issues. It runs very nicely. It's a "stock" machine.

Dave: I am the only driver, 2- lane highways,( depending on the speed limits) interstates,

I use low, or mid grade gas, does not matter which gas station I stop at for refueling.

I have had my 14RTS-SE6 about a 1 week + 2 days, and I have 768 miles since I bought my spyder. Deanna777

Pretty sure I slightly overfilled last time (stupid pump), but when I calculated mileage today at fill up, I got 45.3 mpg. So I figure it's decently over 40, anyway. 1700 miles on the bike, one rider, and I have banished the use of eco mode, as I hate the way it feels. I run 93 octane, as 91 is rarely available here.

2014 RT Limited, 14,160 miles,

Avg. 37.08 this month, ECO, Highway speeds. I have had my 2014 for 5 months and 22 days, avg. MPG 35.229. Looking for a good App to keep track on you MPG and maintenance on all hour vehicles, aCar, available for Android 2.1+, Amazon Kindle Fire and Blackberry 10+.

I love the 2014 Spyder not just for the gas mileage, but how it performed yesterday in the downpour I was in. sheets of water blowing across the road, very low vision but my Spyder kept tracking straight. my friends that was on another brand 3 wheeler was moving all around. Oh, I do have the Kumho tire on the rear.

Spyder did not dance around in this storm but I did a happy dance for having a Spyder that provide a safe and fun ride for me.
