• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just had my dealer fix mine yesterday. It had poped off the pulley just as every one else does. They put it back on and readjusted the cable. 2011 RT with 1200 miles. If it hapens again I will try one of the fixes done here.

    Garmin for RT

I have the BRP mount that the Garmin mounts to. It came with a short harnes. What I need to know is mount and harness that comes with the Garmin is the same that comes in the BRP Garmin it. The mount I have is just the chrome pedistal that the main harness mounts to.

    Garmin for RT

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Zumo 660 from Garmin and the one from BRP. You can buy one from Garmin for $650.00 and the one from BRP is $1100.00. Is the mount and wiring harness for the 660 in the BRP kit different from the mount and harness you get with Garmin kit. I...

    New Corbin Seat

The wife and I went for a long ride today which was the first time since we installed the Corbin seat. What a great seat. After 160 miles we both still felt great. We are now ready for that long week trip on the :spyder2:. We also saw the first :spyder2:in this area. A couple on a Limited RT. If...

    Power and Economy

Well since we have gotten off the subject of power and economy I will say one last thing. I have been a automotive mechanic for 41 years and yes the spyder shares some of the things like ABS,VSS and other electronics but to compare it to a car is :cus: ! I am not telling any one to go buy a...

    Power and Economy

Well thats the problem there are a lot of people complaining about the little things wrong with the :spyder2: why don't we talk about all thats so nice about the :spyder2: There are more positive then negative things about the RT. If you don't like it buy a Goldwing. We replaced our Goldwing...

    Power and Economy

I don't think that when BRP designed the RT that they wanted you to rev up the engine and drop the clutch so you could smoke the rear tire. We ride double 90% of the time and have no problem with the low end power. If you want to ride something with lots of power get a CBR 1000. The RT is just...

    Low fuel indicator light

My light comes on just as the needle reaches the red band. I went 156 miles on 4.8 gal. Thats 32.5 MPG not bad riding two up on a spyder with only 600 miles on it. Should get a little better when the motor gets broke in. :2thumbs:

    DPS limp

Our 2011 went into limp mode and DPS warning came on at 110 miles on it. The dealer thought it must have just been a connection problem. They rechecked all the connectors and cleared the codes. We now have 600 miles and haven't had any more problems. This DPS concern seems to be showing up on...

    Heated seats

Trust me in Jan on a early morning ride when it's 35 degrees Yes it gets cold in Florida a heated seat really feels good on the back side. Also the leather on the Corbin doesn't sweat like the stock vinyl does in the summer when it's 90 here in Florida.

    Heated seats

When we were deciding on which RT to get one reason we went with the Audio and convience package was that it had the heated grips and were told that the seat was also heated. We had never turn them on untill this week end when we left before sunrise and it was a little cool. So the wife and I...
