• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas mileage

I just purchased an RTS on wednesday and I have driven only 180 miles. I've filled the gas tank twice. Why am I not getting better gas mileage?:yikes:

:welcome: you will find several threads on this subject. Typically people get between 25 and 30 mpg on the RT. The low fuel light comes on with approx. 1.4 gals remaining. The big profile doesn't make for great gas mileage.

Try driving with your wind shield down. Here in FL the temp is in the upper 90's and 100's so what I did was take the air winds off the sides and lower the wind shield and I'm getting between 30-34 mpg. Oh one question did you fill up all the way each time. I've gone from 110 mile to 135 mile between fueling. Just my .02, JC

You can also check out the thread on Real Gas and Mileage. I think I am going to give the real gas a go and see if it really does increase my mileage per gallon.

Are you sure your filling the tank all the way, How many gallons did you put in each time?:popcorn: The tank is strange; filling wise, to say the least.

We have 1000 miles on our RT. We ride two up and last tank was 34.7 MPG 160 miles on 4.6 gals. The worst we got was 29.6 on the first tank.

Might talk to your dealer. Mine fed me a line about the engine being set quite rich during the 600 mile break in period. I was getting about 20-24 then. Just did second tank following 600 mile check up (and retune?) and am now at 27-28 and seems to be improving.
