• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Parking Brake, revisited

Broken Parking Break Sensor Switch!

So I took miy RT-S to the dealer today to get the parking break failur ceode cleared and found another issue related to the park brake cable issue in this thread.

If the cable comes of the front pulley the pulley can rotate too far forward and damage a switch that tells the bike when the parking break is engaged. The switch is located just below the pulley.

So far Lamont's fix plus a parking break adjustment is keeping the cable in the pulley but now the dealer is ordering me a new switch and pulley.

I just had my dealer fix mine yesterday. It had poped off the pulley just as every one else does. They put it back on and readjusted the cable. 2011 RT with 1200 miles. If it hapens again I will try one of the fixes done here.
