• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Have you checked into Pete's Cycle in Baltimore? I can't vouch for their service, but they are one of the largest dealers in the area. Also, I agree with CHC. Diamond Motorsports in Dover, DE is my home dealer and I recommend them highly. They're the only dealer on Delmarva, so their prices...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed and programmed the Doormate 2 Garage Door Opener from Slingmods. Had to purchase a different screw to mount to the Lamonster top cuff, but otherwise, it was an easy install of a very useful accessory.

Wrapping/striping a frunk with matte or denim paint - Results?

I applied a Black Panther wrap on my 2021 F3S matte finish frunk. After a thorough cleaning, alcohol wipe, and air dry, the application was pretty straight forward. There was no problem with initial or continued adhesion. As previously stated, it takes a little work to get all the bubbles out.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Participated in Adopt A Highway Cleanup with my club, Buffalo Soldiers MC-Delaware. Also went to Delmarva Bike Week, Salisbury, MD. Tomorrow I plan to check out the vendors at the Ocean City Convention Center for OC Bikefest. There are a lot of bikes, including Spyders, on Delmarva this week.

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

I've worn gloves since I started riding in 1980. I wear the appropriate ones for the season, but always have my hands covered. I feel almost naked without them! :yikes:

    Just had Cataract Surgery.

Congrats, Mike! It does make a difference! I had mine done several years ago. The deterioration was so slow that I didn't really notice it until I realized that I was squinting a lot, especially at night and in the rain. After the procedure, voila! And you're right, no pain or discomfort. I...

What do you carry for Travel Snacks?

+1 on the Twizzlers Years ago I lived in Columbus, OH for 5 years and then Albany, NY for four. During those years we would travel (by car) to our family home in Delaware on the average of once a month. The snacks of choice were always Twizzlers, David and Son's Sunflower seeds, Barbeque Fritos...

Is it possible to do an Oil Change without a lift?

I just changed mine for the first time. I used a Harbor Freight low profile jack and jack stands. I took the advice of Peter and others and gave the torx and allen plugs a good tap before removing them. Both came out with no problem. I replaced them with the plugs from the Lamonster oil change kit.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Performed my first oil change (post initial dealer service) yesterday, right at 9300 miles. Online videos and instructions were very helpful. I used Shell Rotella T6 and the oil change kit from Lamonster. I also installed the Route 29 shield I received from a member (thanks 3Tyme) after spray...

Review: Install and first impression for Lidlox (helmet handlebar lock)

The lidlox is a great accessory, especially for the F3S with very limited storage. I also keep a light weight helmet bag to slip over the helmet if I'm leaving the bike for an extended period of time. This keeps the critters and occasional showers out. It also keeps "admiring" eyes from checking...

How Wet have you ever been on your Spyder??

The day before this past Memorial Day, coming from DC back home to Delaware, I could see the storm clouds ahead of me, but thinking I could make it to a safe place to gear up, I misjudged how close they were. I got caught by a major downpour in an area where it was no use pulling over. I did...
