• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    teased by biker friends

I always answer the comments by saying that the HD Ultra that I left in the garage would rival theirs, so let's not go there with the comments.

Welcome. I'll have my cousin who also lives in Shelby Township keep her eye out for you. What color is your ride? ...Don

    Carrying Concealed

I take a Ruger LCP .380 with me every day. Most often in a pocket holster and inside my coat. In the summer it slips nicely into my back pocket. Double action semi-automatic. No safety but comfortable carrying chambered because of the deep trigger pull. I also have the S&W model 60 - love it...

    SPYDER RT LTD Insurance

My son-in-law was insured with Progressive and received a shocker at premium renewal time - $300 increase. His independent agent hooked him up with Foremost.

    High Fidelity Audio

We swapped out the Sena speakers with the higher quality J&M speakers. The sound was better and the BT unit drove the speakers just fine. It worked for us. Also, as it's been stated, placement in the helmet ear holes matters.

    Cold

Yeah, it only got into the mid-sixties (F) yesterday. Supposed to cool off into the fifties today, though! We will ride out to Darien, GA, tomorrow for a shrimp binge. Hey, I did my time in Detroit and Louisville. I don't ever want to say again that I "know" cold. Instead, I want to say I...

    New Garmin 590LM

Three of my riding buddies have the new unit and love it. I'm not there yet because it doesn't support XM. The electronics seem to be improved over the 665. You may notice it in the Bluetooth connectivity. Finally, the new unit is much easier to navigate through with its improved GUI (Graphic...

    Are there any Ky Ryders?

Hey Tin Can, I grew up the other side of the brick yard from you in Fairdale. In Macon, GA, now. Reach out if you get this way. ...Don

    Farewell To My Friend Cinnamon

Well said. When entering the house through the back gate, my wife blows kisses to the four cats we lost in less than two years. You know, it's just a reminder for them to know how much we loved sharing our life with them. ...Don

    SNAKES ALIVE

Give a Snake a Break/Brake While coming in our development not long ago I pulled my truck across the road to protect the most beautiful copperhead on his way for an evening meal at the lake nearby. I wouldn't want him on my front porch but there was plenty of room for him near the lake. Very...

    Brake Malfunction warning?

I thought the brake failure warning was required before leaving the garage for a ride! Mine's been on for months. The dealer checked everything and reset the programming. The warning was back within a week. I recently completed a 5-state, 1500+ mile ride with it flashing on the screen. Heck...

So, Is everybody done riding or what?

Same here in Georgia. I returned Wednesday from a six day, six state trip. Fun is the word that always comes to mind.

    Garmin Zumo 660

Check your volume settings on the Garmin and make sure the mute box is not checked. Next, while off the cradle, play something through the GPS speaker to verify that sound is emanating from the 660. (I used the mp3 player function.) Assuming all of this works, it boils down to the cradle or...

    Braking in a turn

I tell people that you can screw up on a Spyder but the nanny makes it much harder. Approach corners safely, always. Once you get used to it, roll on it once you're into the curve and APPRECIATE what nanny will do for you. If you get real hot, the brake on the outside front wheel will engage...
