• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

High Fidelity Audio

I have the Sena SMH-10 Bluetooth headsets in our helmets and I'm disappointed in the fidelity of this setup when listening to music. Is there anything I can do to improve this, or is there a better choice to get better music sound? Thanks, guys.

One thing about the Sena speakers that helps a little with fidelity. Don't bury the speakers deep into the helmet ear holes. Try to get them as close to your ears as possible. Also use the foamy Velcro pads they supply. It's not perfect but does help a lot!

To clarify a bit, I've used Edsets system on our Goldwing trike(sold) for years and it sounded great. I miss that kind of sound. I've thought about wiring in the Edsets speakers to my Sena's. Yep, I think I'll try that for a winter project. Finless, I understand what you said about the distance from the ears... Been there, done that. lol

We swapped out the Sena speakers with the higher quality J&M speakers. The sound was better and the BT unit drove the speakers just fine. It worked for us. Also, as it's been stated, placement in the helmet ear holes matters.

I did go ahead and replace the Sena speakers with Edsets Thumpers, and they sound great. If you're going to listen to music you need better speakers.

I guess there is a plus to being hard of hearing. Good fidelity's an impossibility in my case. Saves money for other farkles!

I second the recommendation for Edsets....I have two sets on my spyder and even my wife complimented them. Ed is a great person to deal with to boot.
