• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ryker Ryde

Hello, I owned a 2013 RT Limited with most performance and comfort modifications one could buy. I finally got it to be comfortable after a couple hours in the saddle. I like long trips even overnighters and week long. I had to sell it and it was time. I sat on a Ryker at the dealer close to me...

    My Spyder Obsession...

Buckeye Chuck, I know of no other individual more obsessed with riding than you. Articles about you and your "Riding Without a Destination" in two different MC magazines. Your documentation of each day's ride and weather on calendars, previous ownership of over 25 bikes, an average of 300...

    Did my oil change today

Yes, on the SE5 there are definitely two drain plugs. Yes, you should drain what is in the Byke now and refill with fresh oil as the other is contaminated. Now, in my humble opinion I would leave the new filters in place, yes they have some contamination from the old oil but that does not...

    Prayers for Lamont

I have not posted here until now, but I have been praying for recovery. I am so very pleased to hear that Lamont is home with the family. May all of you accept and feel His Grace and love in the coming days, weeks and months during this recovery! Joe

    Selling your Spyder

I do realize that there are many reasons that people sell their Rydes and the circumstances behind them are all different. I want to make a point about this topic on hopes of helping someone else. If you need to or just want to sell the Spyder, it really can be a quick sale but you need to do...

    Spyder Bitten

:clap::clap::congrats: Those Spyder bytes are dangerous, leading to absentmindedness while ryding. You will often make poor decisions while completing a simple trip to the store. You wallet will constantly come up with disappearing cash while new Farkles appear unexpectedly on the...

    So it's called the Ryker!

I always enjoy reading your statements on this site, thank you. They always remind me that if I believe that everything is about me and designed for me I will also become very negative about everything. Oh, of course I would not be negative about myself, since I am the best there is and a...

    New guy!

Good luck on your shopping there is a lot to chose from! Dont be afraid to buy from a distance and use Uship.com or others to pick it up and deliver it to you. As to the 2013, and I will assume that you are talking about the RT models,I have owned mine for over 25,000 happy miles. I bought it...

    2012 RT-S

I have a 2013 RT and though not a lot of miles it does have 34K on it now. Buckeye Chuck a member of this website has over 150K miles on his 2014 RT, a different engine and tranny than you and I but still. Wishing you many miles of smiles, Joe

What Canada is teaching me about Spyder design

A great point! A few years ago I had some coworkers from a land overseas tell me they wanted to bring their family to the USA for a month. They wanted my input on their plan. He thought one week in NYC, a week at Disney in Orlando, a week in Miami and the last week in Los Angeles. I said...

Hot Right Foot! Muffler/exhaust heat unbearable!

When you make this modification, you must punch or drill a bunch of holes on the plastic below and behind the exhaust in order to vent the heat. This will send the heat back and down toward the back of the Byke. It works well, but you will still get some heat so the ultimate solution is to do...
