• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Bitten

Semper Gumby

New member
Hello everyone, I am a newbie and after a few years of procrastination I finally purchased my new Spyder. I picked up a 2015 Spyder RT Limited on a Sunday with 12K miles. I think I got a pretty good deal which otherwise priced me out of a fully loaded Spyder. I’ve been reading the forums for a couple of days and finding great information. I am located in north Florida.

Welcome, welcome 👍

Welcome to both the spyder world and this awesome site....:clap:congrats on the new ryde your gonna love it. :2thumbs: enjoy

:clap::clap::clap::congrats:

Those Spyder bytes are dangerous, leading to absentmindedness while ryding. You will often make poor decisions while completing a simple trip to the store.

You wallet will constantly come up with disappearing cash while new Farkles appear unexpectedly on the Ryde.

You become overwhelmed by urges to Ryde hundreds or thousands of miles, to meet people you don't know, at places you would never go to, for purposes you don't understand.

Anyway, have a nice Ryde!

Hay Gumby,

Enjoy you new ryde!!!!

32 YEARS ago my wife and I saw a little plastic Gumby laying in the road. I stopped and snatched it up------ It has been in her cars ever since.

Question

Have a rookie question. Can I pull up my MPG on the display. Curious to see what I am getting. I am going on my first long ride this weekend. Also thank you everyone for their warm welcomes and compliments. This is my first toy outside of my main vehicle.

40 MPG

Hi,
I have a '14 RTS and I don't believe the dash can give MPG. A and B trip odometers and hours traveled between resets. Expect about 40 MPG as long as you keep the speeds under 75 MPH or so. ( that's what we get 2 up.)

:congrats::welcome: & sorry the dash does not calculate mpg:dontknow: but ez enough as long as you keep up with your trip meters resets & consistency with octane grade. Ethanol free will give you more miles ,just harder to find. https://www.pure-gas.org
Read the do & dont's for yours to know the power band (prime) range. :coffee:Enjoy

Thankfully the gas station down the street from me has ethanol free gas. I normally use ethanol free for my zero turn and lawn equipment. I think it’s 95 octane so I wonder how that would do with my Spyder. Stay tuned.
