• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Another rear-end accident killing a Spyder rider :(

I think it has been proven that she rear ended the Spyder. You are always at fault in any state when this occurs.

 I'd have to go back and re-read the article...
Didn't this happen in Canada?
How does their legal system generally handle this situation?

Here in Quebec, laws are not very different from those in the USA. Sûreté du Québec (police) are still investigating what happens in that accident. They are also looking for drugs and alcohol and the cell phone use. Many witness still to be meet. May be we will know the result of the investigation at the end of the week. Next wednesday, it's our Quebec national holiday and every government offices are close...

Easy, but it has not happened yet.

We need a device that blocks out cell coverage in all vehicles when the key is turned on. Same applies to drugs and booze. Politicians won't touch this. It should be mandatory.

It is pretty simple to do with "smart" phones. They can be set to NOT make or accept any calls or texts when in motion over a specified speed. 911, emergency alerts, and GPS can be allowed. Downside is that passengers also cannot interact while in motion. Passengers on buses and trains could be exempted.

The government could mandate it, but the better solution would be for the phone makers and the carriers to do it - for the safety of their customers and the general public.

It would not solve everything thing, but I can't help but think that lives and property damages could be saved and lots of injuries and pain avoided.

Killing other people is also against the law but people still do. Cell Phones and texting is no different.
