Another rear-end accident killing a Spyder rider :(

This was just published a few minutes ago on Facebook by a friend Daniel R.

In a little more than a week there has been yet another death of a fellow Spyder rider due to being rear ended by a driver.

At 70 years old I have to imagine that the driver was not texting at the time.

Texting or Napping. My advice: continuos flashing tail lights or continue pumping brakes when stopped, Bright colors etc. Anything to get there attension or WAKE them up.

Bob, in the UK, if a vehicle is hit from behind it is always assumed that the driver of the vehicle failing to stop, adequately slow down
or failing to avoid the vehicle in front is at fault.

I think that's the case here, too. Even if the vehicle in front steps on the brake suddenly, if you hit them from behind, you're at fault because you must have been following too closely.

Just venting................People should pay attention when driving , here in Vermont we have a law that their is no cell phones/ or texting when driving, but people still do it.................... how can you miss not seeing a Spyder people are not paying attention when driving. Killing other people is also against the law but people still do. Cell Phones and texting is no different.

We need a device that blocks out cell coverage in all vehicles when the key is turned on. Same applies to drugs and booze. Politicians won't touch this. It should be mandatory.

So sad, and yes here in Mexico if you hit someone from behind you are at fault, you go to jail either way here....until the hairy mess gets figured out.
