• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

hi, just wants to know that how much everybody pay for first services? my dealer wants to charge me $287.seem little high for me!:sour:

For an ST that is actually a bit below average. Still, spyder maintainance is expensive unless you do your own.

You are in the ballpark. I am lucky to get out for less than $325 on the basic oil change/checkover service. The :ani29: is high end cost to maintain compared to some things.

Your there...

I do have them do the first service but do my own after that. It is not that difficult and our sponsors have all you need. I use the kits that have everything you need all in a package shipped to yourdoor. That price will vary depends where you are and who your dealing with...

Dutchess Rec... That's the only dealer in this area that I haven't at least visited.
It sounds like a road trip is in order!
For the record; You've also got:
Cycle Motion
Arctic Adventures
Klinger PowerSports
Rusty Palmers

All within a relatively short distance...

Mine was billed out for $205 but I have a five year maintenance package from the dealership. So all maintenance is on them for the next five years (including tires, wheels and batteries). There should be no out of pocket cost except gas.

Paid $325.00 with full synthetic oil, labor @ 2.5hours was $250.00 of it. That was my 600 mile, won't be back unless it's for warranty work. :dontknow:

ADVISE

I do most of the service work myself on my 2011 RS-S SE5. Most of the techs are not skilled in the basics skills the lucky ones get factory training on how to change parts. I ran in to some good techs, but their few a far between. They are the ones that have good basic skills in ABS,SE5 & 6 shifting systems, engine & transmission, power steering, suspension, and automotive electronic computers & wiring and factory training. They are the ones you look for. I only found only one and he moved out of the area for a better shop to work at. So if your paying $100.00 an hour for oil changes your getting ripped off. That's IMHO.

:welcome:
It depends on which bike you have...
The Vee-Twin bikes have their break-in service at 600 miles...
The triples get to wait until they reach 3000 miles.
