There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. 2015 Owners Events - Here we go!

i think they did a good job of spreading it around. Im pretty sure NC is still in the south, i know they think the are southerners :) hell its the capital of Nascar lol.
Its making me consider the 700 mile trip up to the redwoods.

North Carolina is north of the Mason-Dixon line?

You are right. I and others are just disappointed in the selections. North Carolina would have to be a trip far longer than one week for us and its just not in the cards this year unless we gave up Spyderfest. Thats not going to happen. Really wished they had chosen at least one event in the south or central parts of the country. Maybe next year.

Or is it that BRP folks think they will melt down south like their bikes.....

DID THEY PROFIT

First Spyderfest I went to was in Cuba, MO..2011. They had a couple demo trucks...Spyders to demo around a few cones in Cowtown parking lot. OK representation but sure not something that had myself or others say wow BRP really is wanting to promote Spyders.
Fast forward to Spyderfest 2014 (now remember BRP has been at every Spyderfest) BRP rolls in treating this event as the premier event it is. note: Spyderfest attracts more Spyder owners and potential owners than any other event, including Owner's Events.
Yep BRP came in like Rock Stars. dominated Vendor Village inside and out. Did they profit?....Yes, because I bought a 2014RT SE immediately after Spyderfest 2014.....:yes::yes: I don't know because I'm not privy to their profit/loss statements. BUT I'm here to tell you they were incredibly busy both inside and outside. 2-3 registers with lines checking people out. Say Ka-Ching..

I have been telling new Spyder owners how BRP rolls into Spyderfest...sounding alot like BRP has decided to go back to Cuba,Mo presence. :yikes::( Sounds to me like BRP is not :joke:. Excuse me BRP but Pitbull Powersports and Spyderfest in Springfield, MO have created a following as well as put SPYDERS on the map...literally internationally and you (whoever these folks are in marketing) make this decision...Totally beyond my comprehension..explain away I'd sure like to see how you explain IT..:dontknow:
See above in Red........Mike

Better Communication

Folks, BRP is already remaining involved with Spyderfest - obviously one of the largest events of its kind in the U.S. BRP will still be present this year at Spyderfest with, among other things, the demo truck and BRP staff on hand to support. With this new program, we wanted to support additional events in as many parts of the country as possible so as to reach more Spyder riders.

Perhaps better communication with the Spyderfest folks/dealer (that they weren't in the mix for $$) could have prevented them being blindsided by the announcement. They thought that they were in the running for the $$, not just the demo truck and techs. I don't think that they understood your intention as stated above when they filled out the application.

Congratulations to all the groups that are receiving funds and best wishes to all the smaller events that are trying to establish a presence. I hope all riders support their local events as well as the majors.

With all due respect...

Oh, come ON, folks. It's already been explained as plain as day! The Owner's Events are extra, in addition to Spyderfest, thus it would be redundant to list Spyderfest among them. BRP as much as stated they're ALWAYS at Spyderfest no matter what, then it's the Owner's Events that will vary each year.

Reading Comprehension 101! Spyderfest is ONE thing. Owner's Events are OTHER things. :dontknow:

With all due to respect to your input, I don't believe it's just listing--or not listing-- Spyderfest as an a event that seems to have folks upset. I believe the event organizers thought that they were in the running for the $$, which would help SF to continue to keep costs down for attendees. It was not communicated to them that they were in a separate category and would not get funds. But that is now water under the bridge. But good luck to all the 2015 events (large and small) and their organizers, and I hope all the attendees enjoy themselves. In the meantime, some of us will try to brush up on our reading comprehension skills.

another mystery

. . . . I am with missouriboy on this.

and this isn't like Highlander, where there can only be ONE.

But the mystery is: Why is it that people who will defend their "right" to decorate their Spyder however they want, go wherever they want, do things their way, and say whatever they want will sit back and be Monday Morning CEO's and tell some company what they should do and how unhappy they are about what they are doing. Please excuse me for being blunt, but isn't that being childishly self-centered and arrogant, with a hefty dash of stupid and mean - SUPERSIZED? Since when did Chips-On-Shoulders become Farkles?

PM me if you have an answer or start another thread, because this one should be all about supporting those groups that will be getting assistance and about what they have planned. AND supporting Spyderfest, too!

Thanks BRP, the opportunity to see you at these different places, which all have some great attractions, is great thing to do and I appreciate it. If I could only pick one, it would be Quebec. I would be great to see where Spyders are built and the people who do it and thank them in person.

I don't know which Owner Events I will make it to, but I now have a few destinations that I never considered before.

Tom

I've lived in Georgia most of my life and I just checked to make sure that North Carolina is on our boarder. Yep, NC is in the South. I think BRP made some fine choices and has a pretty good spread across the country for the seven events they picked. They have one in the South. Also know, they will be in FL for Daytona. That is deep into the SE USA! So ya got some coverage there too!

As the BRP poster said with his first post, they WILL be at SpyderFest this year, like previous years.

Since I'm not going to SpyderFest, I think I will head to NC for the event being held there. I'll also be attending Spyder Jam in Cuba, MO this Summer in June!

Y'all take care now.......

BRP SPonsorship

How is this considered a BRP Owners event? No Spyder Ryder here has ever heard of it Military Police National Motorcycle Relay Ride :hun:

 when I looked into the link for the Military Police National Motorcycle Relay Ride...it was in Canada and covers the whole country along the southern part of the country. I can only assume that there are may Spyders involved in such an event. It appears they have great beneficiaries and that shows the goos will of the group. Many Spyder Ryders are just that way... Ryde on:2thumbs::doorag:

Steve:

I would think you'd be excited about a 21 day relay ride from one end of your country to another with a designated ride captain in every one of your ten provinces.

BRP is putting their money behind a number of events to assist in building their brand and helping others. This one seems worthwhile to me. They explained what they planned to do and it seems they are doing what they said.

Maybe you know more about Ontario then i do.. As i'm a Administrator for the largest group in Ontario for Spyder Ryders and we haven't heard nothing about this but our dealer rydes have been announced for 2015 And of course i'm excited as i am very happy to support a great cause like this but as right now only 2 of us are thinking about going

Yes!! :2thumbs:

I'm really happy that BRP spread around the "joy" this year, and that SpyderQuest AND Smoky Mountain Spyder Rally will BOTH be a part of it this year! These are two events that I can actually get to on my Spyder. (Already got my room reserved for SpyderQuest.)

Mrs. Pitbull Buggy; said:
As a part of Pitbull and one of the main organizers of Spyderfest, I am really glad to hear BRP is not withdrawing support--Len, myself and the Mogang are all excited to talk with you all more about how we can accomplish what our mission, which is the same each year--making Spyderfest the ultimate Spyder party. It makes me a little sad that we had to hear about it on a forum rather than a phone call-but none the less--we are excited

Len was contacted earlier in the year and told we would not have the technical support truck this year. For him-knowing what it takes for rider support this was a non-negotiable. He was able to secure some of the best BRP techs available for product issues. We are preparing for this soon with the technical team at BRP. They will be focused on getting you on the road as soon as possible. Pitbull also contracts tech from another dealer to make sure Ryder's are taken care of.

Pitbull as a dealer will be using their one demo truck pass (as we have every year) to make sure the Spyder community gets to try the latest and greatest.

We will also have a PAC specialist Lise in attendance and a major unit specialist to help answer any questions

]I'm not sure what will occur beyond that from a BRP perspective, but let's bring it back around to what Spyderfest is all about--getting in some good rydes, checking out the latest farkles, and hanging out with friends to kick tires and tell stories. We don't need BRP's official stamp of approval to do that and neither do you!!! (Although I guess after the community expressed concern we now have it)

Len and MoGang are committed to everyone having the best time possible!!! We were anxious to hear the results of the contest as well, but I can promise you it doesn't dampen our resolve to put on the best Spyder event possible. Spyderfest 2015 will be one to remember--I can't wait to meet you there!!!!

Just wanted to help make Mrs. Pitbull Buggy post easier to read. I believe she was posting from an iPhone or an IPad and it came out a little difficult to read.

...and why would BRP want to go some place were so many people can't stand them. read the last three pages of post...you guys are a bunch of cry babies..

BRP Cares???

I am really disappointed in the way BRP is showing they care. By not putting on the annual Owner's Event, they are saving lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. They don't have to pay for all the staff's expenses, or the free food, or the gift bag of goodies and a gas card, advertising, promotions, the rental fees for the tents and grounds, etc. The support they are giving only 7 events probably is a small portion of the money they will be saving by not having an Owner Event that showed their appreciation to those of us who own the Spyders and who are responsible for the profit BRP owners enjoy every year. It's a definite snub to not support Spyderfest 2015, the biggest Spyder event in this country that draws folks from all over the country and several countries other than our own.
