• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 Owners Events - Here we go!

Congratulations to all events that made the final list. Disappointed that Spyderfest was not on the list since they bring in more spyder riders from more locations than any other spyder event.

Folks, BRP is already remaining involved with Spyderfest - obviously one of the largest events of its kind in the U.S. BRP will still be present this year at Spyderfest with, among other things, the demo truck and BRP staff on hand to support. With this new program, we wanted to support additional events in as many parts of the country as possible so as to reach more Spyder riders.

Demo truck and support staff. Are they going to stay for the complete event and not pull out early? As has happened in the past.

We try to keep the cost down so that proceeds that we make at the raffles and other things can be donated to charity, which is something that I know has been done for the last 4 years. Unfortunately we might have to think about cost increase in the future.

Unbelievable

Just amazing that people on this board just jump to conclusions and start railing away at BRP. I have never been to Spyderfest, I would love to make it someday. But how about just asking if they are going to include Spyderfest, that they seem to have supported each year, and wait for an answer, without the name calling and belly aching. Thanks BRP for spreading the wealth around the country and adding to the list of great events you support each year. That is very cool:yes::yes::yes:

Sorry..!!

don't care they are coming to the Redwoods..!!:yes: we finally get a chance..!! :2thumbs: :clap:

First Spyderfest I went to was in Cuba, MO..2011. They had a couple demo trucks...Spyders to demo around a few cones in Cowtown parking lot. OK representation but sure not something that had myself or others say wow BRP really is wanting to promote Spyders.
Fast forward to Spyderfest 2014 (now remember BRP has been at every Spyderfest) BRP rolls in treating this event as the premier event it is. note: Spyderfest attracts more Spyder owners and potential owners than any other event, including Owner's Events.
Yep BRP came in like Rock Stars. dominated Vendor Village inside and out. Did they profit? I don't know because I'm not privy to their profit/loss statements. BUT I'm here to tell you they were incredibly busy both inside and outside. 2-3 registers with lines checking people out. Say Ka-Ching..

I have been telling new Spyder owners how BRP rolls into Spyderfest...sounding alot like BRP has decided to go back to Cuba,Mo presence. :yikes::( Sounds to me like BRP is not :joke:. Excuse me BRP but Pitbull Powersports and Spyderfest in Springfield, MO have created a following as well as put SPYDERS on the map...literally internationally and you (whoever these folks are in marketing) make this decision...Totally beyond my comprehension..explain away I'd sure like to see how you explain IT..:dontknow:

Preach it, Sista!!

Oh, come ON, folks. It's already been explained as plain as day! The Owner's Events are extra, in addition to Spyderfest, thus it would be redundant to list Spyderfest among them. BRP as much as stated they're ALWAYS at Spyderfest no matter what, then it's the Owner's Events that will vary each year.

Reading Comprehension 101! Spyderfest is ONE thing. Owner's Events are OTHER things. :dontknow:

If I were BRP, I would make this part of the official list. This way people will know you are going to be there as well.

Hi all,

Finally, we'll share the list of all the events that were submitted so you can see if there is one happening near you. If you have any questions, please contact the event organizers via their website.

Thank you all very much for participating, and looking forward to seeing you at an event - or on the road. :2thumbs:

Where will you be sharing this list and when?

There is no event listed in Tennessee. I would have made plans for that one if it were.

Not a single event south of the Mason Dixon line. As many parts of the country as possible... Yeah, completely forget about the entire southern half. Perhaps 2016 will be the southern tour......I'm not holding my breath.

North Carolina is north of the Mason-Dixon line?

First of all, thanks, BRP, for "spreading the wealth" and supporting multiple venues.

Secondly, many of the posts, above, seem to add credence to the old saying that no good deed goes unpunished. If BRP put on an Owner's Event in every state, I strongly suspect there would be complaints from people because the venue wasn't in their city! nojoke

I just don't understand all the pent up anger that seems to find its way into nearly every post here, anymore. . . :dontknow:

Again, thanks BRP :firstplace:

Oh, and one more thing, because it apparently requires frequent repeating: BRP will be at SpyderFest . . . they always are . . . just because they did not use the words "Owner's Event" takes nothing away from SpyderFest . . . geez!

As a part of Pitbull and one of the main organizers of Spyderfest, I am really glad to hear BRP is not withdrawing support--Len, myself and the Mogang are all excited to talk with you all more about how we can accomplish what our mission, which is the same each year--making Spyderfest the ultimate Spyder party. It makes me a little sad that we had to hear about it on a forum rather than a phone call-but none the less--we are excited!

Len was contacted earlier in the year and told we would not have the technical support truck this year. For him-knowing what it takes for rider support this was a non-negotiable. He was able to secure some of the best BRP techs available for product issues. We are preparing for this soon with the technical team at BRP. They will be focused on getting you on the road as soon as possible. Pitbull also contracts tech from another dealer to make sure Ryder's are taken care of.

Pitbull as a dealer will be using their one demo truck pass (as we have every year) to make sure the Spyder community gets to try the latest and greatest.

We will also have a PAC specialist Lise in attendance and a major unit specialist to help answer any questions.

I'm not sure what will occur beyond that from a BRP perspective, but let's bring it back around to what Spyderfest is all about--getting in some good rydes, checking out the latest farkles, and hanging out with friends to kick tires and tell stories. We don't need BRP's official stamp of approval to do that and neither do you!!! (Although I guess after the community expressed concern we now have it).

Len and MoGang are committed to everyone having the best time possible!!! We were anxious to hear the results of the contest as well, but I can promise you it doesn't dampen our resolve to put on the best Spyder event possible. Spyderfest 2015 will be one to remember--I can't wait to meet you there!!!!
